Limax sighed quietly to himself as he watched the small village below. A dozen Namekians at most worked the field, simple people of the land trying to make sure that harvest was fruitful. Working themselves to the bone so that they could help the communal society that thrived on Namek. The cliff side that he sat upon gave him a perfect, unimpeded view of the whole village. A village that was not unlike the one he had been born into, that he'd grown up in.
His whole life he had dreamed of being a warrior. Of being trusted to protect these honest and hard working people. To be worthy of serving them, to give his life to protect them if need be. It was his greatest dream to receive such an honor. That dream had turned into a nightmare.
He was more powerful than he'd ever imagined. Easily the strongest warrior on Namek. His own modesty couldn't hide that fact. He could feel the others, those that he used to consider to be peers. None of them were close to his strength now. Let alone if he went all out. Even the Guardian was weaker than him now. Though the strength for combat that they held did not reflect the strength of character. The Guardian was wise and patient. A Namekian worthy of infinite respect. And many of his former peers were much less so.
His vision of the warriors had been shattered as he saw them for what they were. Petty squabbling children. So concerned at making sure everyone knew how much better they were for being born into the Warrior Caste that they would dishonor themselves by lying and becoming rumor mongers. With egos so fragile that when confronted with a peer of lower birth who exceeded him that they would rather pull him down than try to rise up to meet him. To rise up and make all of Namek stronger for it.
The respect he had once held for the Caste had diminished greatly over the last month, and it broke his heart. His life dream was now something that hardly even seemed worth it. He had done nothing but try to bring honor to his people, and for it he was being made an outcast in all but name. He held nothing but contempt for the Warrior Caste of Namek now. To see them for what they truly were sickened him. A bloated and rotten gaggle of complacent children.
However, while the caste sickened him to his core, the people below deserved protection and security as much as they did before he had learned the truth about his fellow warriors. And it was for their sake that he would go on this pilgrimage and find something to bring back to make life better. He owed it to all of the Namekians who were not strong enough to defend their homes. It was his duty as the strongest of his kind, and if he could not stay here to be Namek's shield, then he would venture out into the universe and become it's sword. He would fight for Namek for as long as he drew breath. Both on and off the battlefield.
This small village below him, and those like it that dotted this peaceful planet is what he needed to return for. Not the praise and glory of a successful pilgrimage. But for the normal everyday Namekian people that made up their society. The true pride of Namek.

Life out away from the city was quiet, to say the least, but it was something Atlanti expected. Away from the bustle of people and the attractions that drew tourists from all over lay a world she never knew. Even if she had been born on Namek, there were lives she wouldn't be able to see in the same way. It had made her wonder what it would have been like if she had lived that life. How she would view humans and other aliens, or the different castes she had been taught about.
The village had been something to see, even more so now that she was on the cliff overlooking the area below. She took in every detail from the buildings and the way the suns' light reflected off of it to the way land and sky managed to blur together in the horizon like a watercolor.
What she hadn't expected was the person sitting up there already, familiar despite having their back to her. She paused a moment, taking in his presence with her new abilities. For a moment, she was stunned, but then a warm smile lit her face once more.
"Hi, Limax," she greeted quietly as she approached, unable to tell until she got closer if he was meditating or anything else.

"Hello Atlanti."
He said, returning her greeting as she approached. Slowly picking himself from his vantage point he would shift and turn so that he was facing the young Namekian. Bringing a hand over his chest to offer her a respectful bow. His frustrations on the Warrior Caste was not her doing, and as a Namekian from off world he could not fault her for the displeasure he was feeling toward part of his people and culture.
"How may I assist you today?"

Atlanti rocked up on her toes as Limax stood, fingers laced together behind her. Her smile grew as she returned his bow with one of her own.
"Nothing today." She shook her head. In a way, he'd become a mentor of sorts, but her interest wasn't in another training session just yet.
"I just wanted to see part of Namek away from the city." While there was a small lapse for her to figure out what she wanted, at least. Her hands fell to her sides as she spoke.
"It's not the cave you mentioned, but I wanted to see more of it for myself while I'm here."

He nodded slowly. She wanted to see more of the home she'd never seen before. He was pleased that she had taken that to heart. Namek was a beautiful world, and her people were hardworking and just. The faults of a single Caste not withstanding.
"Of course. It is a wonderful planet, and there is much to see. Have you seen anything in particular that you like?"
He'd never been to another world before, so he could not say how Namek might compare to other planets out there like Earth. It was certainly smaller than Earth, at least in the manner that he had heard of it from others. Sprawling cities that went on for miles, dwarfing even the capital.

"There's a lot," she admitted with a sheepish laugh. Giving his question a moment for to form an answer, she nodded and continued.
"There was a series of cliffs back before I came here, with some caves. If you turned to look at one side, you could see the city in the distance, but when you shift just a little, it's quiet and bright, and you could see the water reflecting off the water." She'd stopped longer than she meant to just for that sight.
"But then there are sights like this, too." She gestured with her arm to indicate the village below. "It's nice, seeing what else there is when you step away from the tourist spots. They're nice, but they're kind of distracting, too. Everyone wants to be there, to say they were there and did something.
"And I get to see how this place is like Earth in some ways, too."

Limax slowly lowered himself back into a sitting position, facing Atlanti as she spoke about what she had seen of Namek so far. She had his full attention as she recounted the wonders and experiences she was able to have for the first time in his home. And it warmed his heart, to hear the excitement from someone experiencing it for the first time. Reaffirming that this was a special place in the Galaxy, something worth coming back to. And that it wasn't just him that felt that way.
"What has your favorite part been so far?"
He could listen to this for hours. There was so much to see if you knew how to look. So much to appreciate from her people to her natural wonders.

Atlanti didn't join him in sitting as she recounted her experiences. There had been so much.
"Well, I actually spent a day in one of he villages a little while back." She gave a pleased hum at the memory of how the people had been. Friendly enough and polite, but she was also casteless and fell outside the norms some were used to.
"I offered to help them for a day while I was there." She gave a small laugh. "I think I asked more questions that they thought I would, but they were nice enough to listen and answer since i was helping them." She hadn't been used to farm work, though, and even now she could remember how different it was. A different sore than training, with its acute reminders of where you'd been hit the day before.

"What did you help them do?"
He wanted to hear all about it. Was it farm work? Repairs to buildings and machinery? Did she help them haul water or irrigate the crops? Perhaps she tended to any of their sick and injured, or helped out with the children. There was never any shortage of work to do in a village. Even the small ones. Sometimes especially in the small ones where there always seemed to be more work then there was people.

"Well, for a while I was helping with the crops." She lowered herself until she was kneeling, and though Atlanti smoothed her clothing with the motion, she was soon gesturing again, ticking off the work she'd done on her fingers, brows knitting for the first part.
"But there was an accident, so I wound up helping them and the others who needing care." The smile returned, softer this time. They'd been happy enough to talk about their home as she helped them, staying busy if they were able. It had made her proud to know she'd helped make the time go by quicker and their lives a little easier, even if it was only for a day. The second and third fingers had been ticked off as she mentioned her other tasks, elaborating a little more on the people she'd come across and what she'd learned of their lives.

"It sounds like you had quite a day then. I hope that the ones who were hurt are doing better now?"
That could be worrying. Though he suspected if it was something truly serious she wouldn't be prattling on as excitedly as she was. But all the same he'd be remiss if he didn't at least ask. Besides, she seemed to be enjoying this discussion as much as he was enjoying listening to it.

"Mhmm." Her hands rested in her lap as she nodded, the enthusiasm ebbing as she thought on it longer. Still, despite the rough start, she couldn't suppress the sense of satisfaction and joy she felt at being able to help and not feel like she might be making more work for the others, in doing what felt natural.
"We were worried at first, but it wasn't as bad as it looked. I checked on him before I left, just in case." Now she knew more ways to help if that happened again. "The others were doing better, too."
There was a small pause before she continued, looking down at her hands, then up at the sky before finally settling on Limax.
"There's something else, too, though." She still couldn't believe it any more than she could forget it. The earth shaking, the sky growing dark as it crackled with power, the bright light that glowed in front of her. How it felt like discovering magic was real for the first time, or a story come to life.
"I met this planet's dragon." Her words were quiet, amazed. That was worth writing home about and then some.

He let out a small exhale as she mentioned meeting with the Dragon. That was a huge deal, an honor that was not granted to everyone. And to have obtained the Elder's blessing to summon the Dragon meant that in her time here she must have made some kind of impression.
"That is a large honor. I hope that you treated The Dragon with the respect deserving to a divine being."
It went without saying that her wish was worthy and just. He trusted that if it had not been she would not have been granted the right to use the Dragon Balls in the first place. He would not pry into that matter further however. Her wish was her business. As was his own wish. It was between him and the Divine Dragon.

She startled at his comment, blinking and examining Limax's reaction a little more closely while her own mirrored her surprise. The idea of not doing so seemed foreign even to her. It started to sink in that she hadn't actually told anyone about it yet. That latter home was still half finished.
"Of course I did." She hoped. It wasn't like people just met with a being like that to celebrate an anniversary on a whim. It was personal, but also felt like something she thought Limax would understand. From his reaction, he had, and it caused her to quiet a little. She tucked part of her her hair behind her ear.
"I've heard stories about it, but I never thought I'd actually see it myself, you know?" Participating in a tournament like she had was one thing, something she wouldn't have done a few short years ago. But the rest? It blew her mind.

"It is a very special gift. To be granted an audience with the Dragon. It holds great power, but that power must be used wisely. Childish wishes do dishonor to the Dragon and our heritage."
That included her own heritage. Despite where she was brought up she was still a child of Namek.
"Though you seem to be beyond childish wishes for trinkets and baubles. I am sure that you treated the Dragon with the respect and consideration that such a being deserves. And I believe that you would have done our people proud."
