She couldn't help but glow a little by the end of Limax's speech, reminded of her wish and the intent behind it. She hoped she would be able to keep doing exactly that.
"Thank you, Limax. I want to keep doing that." For both sides of who she was, even if she wasn't fully certain on how she wanted ot do that or how.

"You can do anything that you put your mind to. With hard work and perseverance I believe that nearly any goal can be achieved. Despite whatever obstacles may be in our path."
Though having a really long lifespan didn't hurt either.

The conviction in his words held her attention more than she was already giving. Atlanti found herself straightening a little more, nodding at the mention of obstacles. There would definitely be those. He'd mentioned his own goals to her before, and Atlanti believed he would be able to reach them. She admired his determination.
"Can I ask you a more personal question, Limax?"

"You may ask me anything you like."
He may not always answer, but she was always welcome to ask anything. Curiosity was not something to be ashamed of, or afraid of. It was curiosity that helped to drive people forward, much like determination and passion. It was one of the driving forces of their existence.

The tension in her shoulders eased at his reassurance. Back on Earth, there were some things you didn't ask until you knew someone more than she knew him. For most people, anyway. Atlanti figured Limax would let her know if he wasn't interested in answering, or couldn't, but hearing him say it helped.
"What was it like, growing up as a warrior?" It seemed so different to her, and sometimes Atlanti found herself wondering 'what if,' even more than when she was younger. Now she had examples of what she could have been like.

He let the question hand in the air for a moment. It was a question that cut to the core of his being, though he didn't expect Atlanti to understand that. Though as a warrior herself she would surely know the answer to that question. So in his head he edited her question to be asking what it was like on Namek.
Letting out a deep sigh he decided he would answer. It was part of his past and he was not ashamed of where he came from. It was part of who he was, and the starting point of his struggles.
"That is not something I would know. I was born into the Caste of Farmers."
It was through a lifetime of blood, sweat, and tears that he had clawed his way to where he was in an attempt to become a warrior. His life's dream and goal, and one that he had failed to achieve. He will be leaving his home without ever finishing the rites and be honored with the title of Warrior.

Limax was wise int eh ways of mental editing. Atlanti wasn't sure what to expect, maybe a personal reflection, reaffirming what she'd heard before. But while she could have asked her father, and had in the past, she also knew that Limax had his own experiences and feelings.
She didn't get the reflection, or anything else she might have expected. Instead, there was silence, enough of it that she shifted and started to believe she should set the question aside. The answer, once Limax gave it, stopped the younger Namekian mid-motion to look at him in surprise.
"Oh." Her words were soft as the weight of what he said sank in. Suddenly his words held more meaning that she thought they would. He hadn't fought against people who were equal to him then. He had fought against the system that his planet functioned on. Everyone had their own battles to make them stronger; Limax's path had shifted where some of them would take him. From what she'd been told, though, he probably wasn't welcomed by man. It sounded lonely.
"You've done really well, then." Another nod as she tried not to get lost in the thoughts. "You must be proud of what you've been able to accomplish so far."

"I have worked very hard to reach where I have."
He chose to not make mention about how he felt about where he was, or what he had failed to achieve. His strength only meant so much without something to dedicate it's use to. For the time being that would have to be his pilgrimage.
But if he was honest with himself. Truly honest. He didn't know what he could bring back to Namek that would change life on this planet for the better. It felt like an impossible task. With no possible way to know what was worthy of bringing back.

"Nearly anything can be accomplished with hard work and perseverance." Atlanti nodded in agreement with Limax's reflection, driving home what he had said and knew from experience. She respected him for it; he was fighting against the way things were and people wanted to preserve. He was doing it while they fought against him, never mind that he was succeeding.
Meanwhile, she was her own obstacle, unable to focus on what direction her own life would take.

He smiled warmly at Atlanti.
"And that is why I know that you will succeed at whatever it is you put your mind fully toward achieving."
She had a long way to go to be a proper warrior from what he'd seen training with her. But he'd also seen that she had an inner strength and determination that was worthy of respect and notice. They were at different places in their journey, but he had no doubt that hers would take her wherever she wanted to go.

Seeing Limax smile made Atlanti feel better about the day than she already had. She'd seen the sly smile in Rhona's hospital room as he made a joke, and now, here, she got to see another break in the stoic attitude he usually gave off. Knowing his own background wasn't just that of a warrior's gave his words more weight as he encouraged her. She didn't even know what she was going to do, but he believed in her and her ability to get there when she did know.
She couldn't contain hte feeling any longer and stood up, making her way over to Limax before leaning over and giving him a brief but solid hug.
"I know i already said it, but thank you." She straightened and ran a hand through her hair, cheeks flushed as she realized he may not have actually appreciated or wanted the gesture.
"Really, though." Her smile turned into a grin as she let out a small, joyful laugh. "And I promise to be even stronger the next time you see me."

He stood up when she did, but when she wrapped her arms around him he froze up. Still unused to the gesture, he hesitated before slowly wrapping his arms around the young Earth Namekian. Squeezing her gently and nodding. He was unsure on how long was appropriate to hold the embrace, and would just try ti mirror her, letting go when she did.
"I do not doubt it Atlanti."
He said bringing a hand up to his heart and bowing to her. His own gesture of respect, one that was much more comfortable and second nature to him than the hugs.

She stepped back, fingers folding together behind her back as Limax nodded, the more formal and accepted gesture. This is why you don't give Atlanti massive doses of sugar. She just glowed at teh words, rocking back on her heels and then forward again after Limax straightened from his bow.
"So what will you do now? Do you ever go see the people you grew up with?" With the tournament over and peace talks on the table, anything was possible.

"I did whenever I had the chance."
Something that he would not be able to do for the foreseeable future however. As much as it pained him, but it was for the best. It was the path he was on, and turning back would bring him no closer to his dreams.
"And next I will be sent on The Great Pilgrimage and I will search the stars for as long as it takes to bring back something that will change life on Namek for the better."

'Did?' She noticed the past tense, but waited a moment to see if Limax would elaborate on his thoughts. But that seemed to be all there was until he mentioned his pilgrimage.
"Oh." Her curiosity warred with the way he spoke. As long as it takes. How long was that?
"When do you leave? Do you know where you are looking for?" Because that was incredibly vague.
