Test the King (Okara, Aisuko, Keerie, King Vegeta/Closed)

Dahveid had sent a missive to the King, requesting an audience. He'd also sent a notice to Aisuko, Okara and his wife. This was one of those things where they all wanted to be present. He's asked the King to come alone, as it was something personal.
Time would tell if the King agreed.

Keerie was quick to settle, standing, beside her husband. There wasn't much to say, being that it wasn't really her choice, at the end of it all.
Aside from that, she didn't feel the need to say anything, either.

Okara arrived maybe a moment or two after his father. Dahveid, having committed to obliterating his son in their last fight, just looked at him. Okara looked back.
"Father."
Okara would turn to the door as he sat at the table. It was a small secure room, used for battle discussions and war meetings. A kind of....situation room, as it were.

Aisuko would enter on Okara's heels.
After all that was the only way she could have been here or found it. Her displeasure was evident. It mostly masked her discomfort.

Luckily enough the Peace Summit was taking a recess to evaluate terms and new topics of discussion. It felt like there was even more posturing int his talk than he thought there would be. However he would come alone, entering the room he made notice of the entire Blaze family... Then he spotted Hail's sister. He had forgotten her name over time and not interacting with her, though her brother was another matter.
The bragging alone about how Aisuko had defeated Dahveid during the peace summit was gruelingly difficult not to try and destroy the entire summit. Now Vegeta was slightly irritated so he found a seat.
"Why have I been summoned, Dahveid?"

Dahveid would take a slow, deep breath.
"I am sorry for asking you here like this- but I have learned the lessons of my past. Many years ago, my brother fell in love with an Ice-Jinn. Your father was forced to send Elites to take them for trial, I fought and killed them and was sentenced to life in prison. All of this you may already know. However, from what I understand, your father was pushed to that decision because he learned of it in front of the council."
He'd sit on the table.
"I'd not make that mistake twice."
He glanced at Okara.
"My son and Aisuko have begun a relationship."
Yup. Point blank.

Okara sat and stared at the King, silently fuming that he had to go through this humiliation but....doing so without complaint as of yet.

Just as the little King's mood was soured, so was Aisuko's. Just as the little King's eyes were keen, so were hers, as well. She saw the shift towards annoyance, and stood with her arms crossed, tail tip twitching like a space rattlesnake's.
She couldn't quite hold back the small gurk sound with Dahveid's very blasé and blunt speech, but otherwise - and quite quickly - regained her silence and held it.

Keerie simply gave the softest of sighs, her gaze slipping back and forth from her son, Aisuko, and their young King. She couldn't really look at Dahveid, being she was standing at his side.
But she was ready, should things turn out to be unfavourable.

Vegeta would nod in affirmation as to Dahveid's circumstances of imprisonment and family exile. However after the news of the relationship between the son and the sister of Hail he would keep him silent for some time. Clasping his hands together, resting his elbows on the table, and resting his chin on his hands he would stay in thought for a rather long moment.
"I'm not sure the path I should take with this knowledge. Obviously the crown can not condone such things, especially with current tensions. However, I do not wish to intervene in such personal matters... The issue is too close to the crown."

Dahveid nodded.
"I agree."
He would stand, hands in his pockets.
"I believe a show of condemnation and strength are in order. My advice, such as it is being Okara's father, would be to exile him from Vegeta, never to return. You'd put a gag order on myself, of course, so that I could not petition your ruling. The issue of what they are and what they want is insignificant compared to the issues you now face- that would be your argument, my lord, to the council. That focusing on such petty matters is a cop out from the real problems you face. Exile is just and shutting me down is strong."
He would take a deep breath.
"Such is my advice, my King."

Dahveid may have been composed, but Keerie's visage cracked into a frowning-snarl. Silent, but the teeth-bared-grimace was there.
Her hands slowly clenched and didn't relax.
Momma was mad.
The small Saiyan said nothing, when she should have spoken up to volunteer herself for the gag order as well. Her eyes darted to Okara, then twitched back to the King. Wait. Wait. Perhaps one of the hardest things she had to do right now was wait to see what the King intended to do, when she wanted to explode.
As it was, she was imploding. Her clenched fists quivered, evidence of the spiderweb of cracks ripping through her self-control.

Okara clenched his fist.
"Before you make a decision....my King...I would like to speak."
He would clear his throat and, assuming the King allowed it, would continue.
"I was born on Earth because my father protected his family. My uncle clearly didn't hold the prejudices of the Saiyan race. Because I did not grow up here, I don't hold them. But what I do hold is a love of my people, a pride in my race, and a desire to protect and defend Vegeta and it's crown from enemies both domestic and abroad. I want to know my home world. But....because I have interest in an individual whom our people deemed unworthy simply for the race she was born into, I'm faced with losing all of that."
He would stare at King Vegeta.
"I do not want to lose all of that. But if I'm forced to choose between her and never seeing the world I was kept safe from most of my life, I will pick her every time. So...you can keep me here, punish me as you see fit and have a warrior, strong and passionate for his race. Or you can do as my father suggested and show me the door, still an outspoken tremor in our blood. Either way, I'll still be under threat from those elitists who see me as a traitor."
He would lean forward.
"You are King. King. Your word and hand is law. There is clearly some outside force stoking the hatred between our races- but by your word it could be brought to an end. Don't let this push our planets further apart. We could use it to bring us closer together, instead."

Aisuko was silent...and, overall, quite composed despite the company and words being said. She didn't wish for Okara to lose his home planet over everything else. Naturally, with what she now knew, his parents would never likely see him again if the banishment to Earth came through, in the end.
Not really something she wished on any of the three Blazes - even though Dahveid and Keerie made her hellishly uncomfortable - so at the end of it all...she cleared her throat, finally. She would speak, even though Dahveid's suggestion made her want to walk out.
"If, by current tensions, over and above the normal between our races, you mean my brother is an asshole? Yeah, he is. He'd have zero issues in using something like this to oust me from our house and use it to incite more unrest...which is something I would have done, as well. I may have been the quieter one of the two of us but I was no less prejudiced...and it's still a work in progress to not believe in them."
Well. At least she was honest.
Her tail slooooowly swayed back and forth.
Truth be known, the little King's words surprised her. Even though Dahveid said what he did when they discussed telling him, she still expected a more adverse reaction.
Old prejudices, right?
"I'd rather this not be..publicized, for right now." Her shoulders moved. "At least, potentially until I put Hail in his place, in our House. He may have captured a few planets but that's nothing if he can't subdue his own sister."
What that meant was...

King Vegeta would scratch his head. What Dahveid said was a good suggestion, then also what Okara said made sense as well. He really didn't want to make a hasty decision on this because of how important and powerful the Blaze family was to the crown let alone Saiyans as a whole. Losing any single one was tragic.
That's when Aisuko spoke up and Vegeta narrowed his eyes.
"You haven't checked in recently with your brother have you? The council of Lords have mostly elected your house to become the new emperial court. Your brother has captured the base world's of all of your competitors..."
He would let that sit in until he got a sudden surprised look.
"No! We can use this... If you can defeat Hail and take control of your house and become Empress of Arkosia, I can name Okara my brother and join our houses during the peace summit. This would solidify a controlling majority in the decision making. By accepting the blood line capable of the Legendary Super Saiyan transformation into the royal family would be a major power grab. Combining the Empire of Arkosia and the Saiyan Kingdom we would hold major power with nagotiations between us, the Tuffles and Myra."
Vegeta got the biggest cockiest grin he has ever had.
