This was so weird.
For a guy who didn't want people to copy him, Zephyr now had several people he was currently training. Two of them were magic women, while the other two were magical rocks.
And he was now having to deal with the realization he was probably cursed, due to all this magic around him.
At first, he was convinced his family and his clan would disown him. Clearly he was more trouble than he was worth, even though he'd started making some headway in his training recently. But, the more he thought about it, the more he wasn't sure that was the case. After all, Inferno had those weird... faces, that hung out with him. Maybe Rock and Rock Too were the same?
Maybe everything would be fine.
The best he could do now was figure out how to teach more fighting to these people, so they could at least fight him back as payment. It was already way too long since he'd gotten to fight someone, after all.
He swings his fists around almost haphazardly, then stops.
"...that's it!"
He'd start at the basics. Time to teach them how to fight a proper punch.
Hint: It's an uppercut.

Having learned there was something he couldn't do that someone else could, Zephyr has immediately set out to change this fact.
For the past ten minutes, he's been picking up rocks with telekinesis, then trying to cover them in his energy. Unfortunately, every single time he's done so, he's crushed the rock entirely, pulverizing it into tiny pieces. Which, obviously, was not the plan, but also was kind of fun.
Stop that. Focus.
Maybe he needed to go over it again. Start from the beginning. Zephyr lifts another rock, then closes his eyes. He needed to cover it in his energy gently, like a warm, comforting hug. Like that hug he'd already gotten.
His eyes open wide in alarm, and he wills himself to focus again.
Energy... rock... energy.... rock....
Just repeating the words in his mind to keep it from wandering, Zephyr continues to coat the rock as gently as he can, before suddenly throwing it at a tree.
The rock plows right through, and he grins.
"Finally."

It's another day, and another training session with Rock Too.
Despite himself, Zephyr finds himself getting frustrated with Rock Too, who always seems to take a defensive role and block/evade Zephyr's attacks. Of course, Rock Too was seemingly just as strong as Zephyr, despite never training that Zephyr could see.
He'd asked him about it before, and the answer just annoyed him.
"Rock Too. Show me something."
It was out of the blue, and Rock Too stops for a moment, seemingly confused.
Then, it starts to move in that familiar, fluid motion. This time, it moves slowly, carefully, so that Zephyr can take it in.
He frowns.
"Is that supposed to help?"
Rock Too shrugs, and continues.
With a sigh, Zephyr starts to copy his movements, letting his body flow in the same way. If anything... it was loose and fluid, a fighting style he wasn't used to.

"This is dumb, Rock."
Zephyr complains to the silent observer, moving his body in the same motions Rock Too is showing him. It's so smooth... and soft.
He hates it.
Rock Too speaks to him again, and Zephyr just frowns more.
"I don't see how it helps, though. It's slow. And weak. You're a rock, you should know better."
They both stop, and Rock Too seemingly shakes its head. Zephyr sighs, then turns away.
"I don't think I'd ever do that. It's weak."
Rock Too speaks again, and Zephyr snorts.
"You're magical. It doesn't count."
And with that, he heads off to do some more regular training by himself.

"This is the weirdest thing that has happened to me yet."
Zephyr says out loud, staring at his leg. The voice that calls out in his head afterwards makes his brow furrow even more, and he gives a very slow sigh.
"Of course we are. But there's no one around right now."
All the ladies were off doing... what he assumed to be lady things, and Rock Too had already been out for a while. He needed to recover before Zephyr could fight him again. Which meant he was stuck doing what he'd always done before he had all these people around him, and things talking in his head:
He'd go hit something to test his own strength.
Further and further Zephyr goes, heading in an apparently random direction, before finally coming across a large boulder. Even as he pulls his hand back, the voice in his head chimes in again.
"How would you get a turn?"
Once he throws his fist forward, however, it becomes encased in flame, and the boulder shatters swiftly under the assault.
Zephyr pauses, then looks at his hand, while there's cheering in his head.
"....Rock, you're going to have to be quiet some of the time. This is really weird."

Today, Zephyr was doing something he'd never really done before.
At the behest of Rock Too, Zephyr had started... imagining. Now, this in itself wasn't something he was used to, but Rock Too had told him to go a few steps further. Instead, Zephyr would focus further, his eyes closed, brow furrowed deeply in concentration.
He was thinking of how to fight someone. That was the easy part. The hard part was thinking of what to do if the enemy did the typical stuff he didn't like when fighting. Usually, he'd just react during the fight, but this... this was... planning.
He was already getting frustrated.
If Zephyr hated when enemies were hard to hit, then he especially hated thinking about enemies being hard to hit. It was frustrating, and more than once he had to have Rock Too carefully calm him down with how this was the point of the mental exercise.
Grabbing didn't work. Tackling didn't work. Throwing random punches didn't work either.
Then, it hit him. Literally, in his mind at least. If he took that blow, he could hit the enemy at the same time.
Maybe this could work after all?

Whoosh!
Swish!
Other wind noises!
Zephyr continually swings at the air, then looks at his fist after each punch. Each time, he tried to push that purple energy out of himself again, but it never seemed to work. There wasn't even a hint of purple, just his regular punch or silver energy.
The Rhosian frowns before turning to his side, where Rock Too bounces into existence again. There's a pause, and that frown deepens further.
"I don't know. It doesn't seem to work now."
A beat.
"How am I supposed to do that? It's not happening right now."
Again, there's a pause as he keeps staring at Rock Too.
"Fine, I'll try."
Zephyr closes his eyes, trying to remember how he felt when Hades had torn Rock Too out of him, and was threatening both him and the magic woman's life. It made him angry, sure, but he still knew that the two of were fine now.
He opens his eyes, then punches again, trying to use that leftover anger.
Nothing.
He looks at Rock Too again, who shrugs.
"I guess it doesn't work anymore."

Another day, another Rock Too beatdown.
At least, that's how it felt to Zephyr. Once again, he'd taken to training on his own for a while before summoning Rock Too to fight him towards the end. Since Rock Too wasn't able to exist for long periods of time, he always finished with fighting him.
Which meant he was tired, while Rock Too was perfectly fine. It was the only reason Rock Too was winning.
It had to be the only reason.
"Why're you so lazy, Rock?"
Rock Too looks at him, and Zephyr shrugs.
"You never stick around. You're just around for a few minutes, then you hop off. If you stayed we could fight longer."
A pause.
"That's dumb. You should work out so you don't get tired so fast."
Rock Too seemingly shrugs at him, then gets up.
For the rest of the day, Zephyr keeps fighting Rock Too, resummoning him as often as possible in order to try and 'teach' him some more stamina.
