Rhona's talk with Atlanti was another step in settling things down. Rhona would have a shower and meet back up with her new friend. Possibly not to make the same mistake as she felt she had with Limax, just to get to know the Mythrosian a bit better. In some fresh pajama bottoms and a loose tank Atlanti let her borrow, her blonde hair wet would be completely down. She would get to go shopping in the morning.
"Hey...El?" She would nearly be close to where she thought that was, not entirely sure where that actually be.

Stepping out of her house, she'd find El stepping out of his tent- he'd picked up large piece of equipment at the store, not wanting to intrudge. Was this creepy? He didn't understand Earthling culture. He had no purpose on this rock, except to make sure she was safe. So, he did what he had to do. He stepped out of his gear, eyebrows raised. In his left hand was a pan, inside of which was PANCAKES. Gods above, if there was one reason to conquer this planet it was to take the pancakes for themselves.
He wore boxer briefs, these wonderfully clingy portions of clothing that were much better and more comfortable than his armor when around the house. He wore an apron that had some strange characters on it- "Number one dad", whatever the hell that meant. His hair would be pulled back in a ponytail, and his eyebrows would be up. He only stepped out because she called-
"Rhona? Is something wrong?"

A tent? Well she was not sure about it but she was going to let him do what he wanted. "Well you are all set up... And cooking?" In boxers no less. She could not help but smile placing her fingers over her lips. It was fun.the big guy seemed to have a plan to stick around. Rhona wondered if it was all because of her? She could probably guess the answer and she was not possitive he had any reason to stay with her that would benefit him.
"I guess not much is wrong despite what already has gone wrong." she waved off that however. "I just thought since you are setting up base here, maybe we can just... Talk, do you have room in that tent?"

He'd gesture into the rather large tent, giving a little nod to the blonde. " Yeah, of course! C'mon in." He'd step back inside, walking over to the BBQ grill which rested right under a small hole in the top of the tent which let the smoke out. He'd get down on his knees, as it was small and he was rather large, and would use it to continue cooking his rather wonderful looking pancakes. They were very burnt. " What's on your mind?"

She'd kneel close to him staring as the smoke went through the flap in the roof. It was hard to figure out where to start talking. Questions came to mind but there was just something that did not seem to come forward. She just started talking with out a full thought and there would be one word after another that could finally have a form
"Where are you from and what is it like there?" That would be her first question before noticing the pancakes that were already stacked.
"Oh goodness" She laughed a bit. "Do you prefer your pancakes like that?"

He glanced down at the pan.
"....I feel as if I am doing something wrong in making these. They are not like the ones from the cafe downtown..."
He sighed and set the pan down. He'd glance at her.
"I am from Myria. It's a fairly dry and barren place. The people are almost...uh...Roman? Those are people from your history, yes? I've tried to listen to some tapes in my language about that era...it is nothing like Earth."
He would clear his throat.
"Why do you ask?"

She looked at the bowl he mixed them from and tasted the batter. It seemed to have come out well enough there. but she decided to take the ladle and pour a new one into the pan. "The heat might be up too high... but you seemed to have mixed the batter alright." so she positioned it from the grill off centered from the hottest parts. And would proceed to make ones that would be better for him. Waiting until the small bubbles begining to surface she would listen to him imagining a Roman empire on nearly a dessert planet.
"Romans are ancient history here, but Rome does still exist and it is rich with all of that history, but I'm mostly just curious..." she'd think back again "You did call me something before we came here... It was something in your language?" she'd take the spatula and flip the pancake it was a solid light brown color. Perfectly timed.

"Lajak Okeo."
He gave the softest of smiles.
"There is no word in my language for beautiful. I believe Lajak Okeo translates roughly to warrior friend...perhaps Lajak Zheana would be more appropriate. It means Warrior of Starstuff."
He would stare at her as she worked, almost mesmerized.
"You would make me food? How...illuminating."
He chuckled.

She'd smile while working on laying the good one off to the side and working on a second. "Well I can't have you eat a plate of hard and burned Discus'. If anything while you are here I can certainly show you how things work on Earth. We might be pretty simple but we challenge ourselves daily. Easily entertained, is something I have used to described the human race a time or two."
She would not be certain he needed a word for beautiful. However she thought it might say something about the world he comes from. "You have no word to call someone or something beautiful? I mean, you can call me what you like I suppose." She'd try her best to copy what he said."Lajak...Zeena...?" She was not sure she got her throat to nail the word in.

He would half shrug.
"A harsh language for a harsh people. We have words for good, enjoy, like or pleasant to see but not beautiful. Gorgeous. Cute. The words one might use to-"
Describe her ass.
This time he caught himself. He'd been trying to study Earth customs as well, and he discovered it was not acceptable to be so forward. so...he would transition.
"-well...describe something we like. You were very close in your pronunciation. Probably about as close as I am when I try to speak some new words in yours."
He'd watch her as she made the pancakes.
"And I would certainly appreciate the tutelage."

"You should try hearing Welsh... that was the language my Great Aunt mostly spoke. It was just as hard to read as It was to speak. I only knew a few words but I certainly did not grow up around the language. If we are talking hard languages, that is one I know will not come easy to either of us."
she would set aside another golden brown cake. She could feel him stare at her and she tried not to pay it no mind. And as what she did mind it was not bad... he did not make her nervous. But something else came to her mind. "I was confused and a bit ticked off that you stepped in front of me at the Lookout. But after some thinking I realize what you were doing. Risking your life so that I might live another day... I am not sure I've done anything to deserve that from you."

He let out a hum.
"Let me explain then."
He'd accept the food graciously, taking of this mystical "Syrup" and pouring it over the grub. He would grab a fork and sit, crossing his legs as he spoke.
"In my clan, we are realists. We understand the requirements of war. Sometimes, war brings out the best in people. Other times, it brings out the worst. For Limax, it brings out the worst as his quest for vengeance requires the shedding of blood in recompense. For others, it brings out the best- like Wasabi, Atlanti or Tsubaki. They try to save others. I am unfortunately neither of those. As a realist, I look at the best possible path to victory. Watching Limax, I made the snap judgement that you could not come close to defeating him were he to turn his path to death on you."
He took another bite.
"It is not a stab at your fighting prowess, merely an admission that currently, your power does not match his. If you could not meet him in a fight and stand a chance, I understood that I would be squished under his thumb in an instant. So I stepped in front of you to make sure the one with the most power out of the two of us would live to see another day- to stand a chance, next time the fight is brought to you. It was not, as you might assume, to protect your honor or show some sort of attachment to you. I do like you, but if you ran headlong into a battle unthinkingly, intent to die for honor like him? You'd look back and see me waving goodbye."
He took a third bite.
"It is cold. It is callous. I have lost many battles. But have never lost a war. Does that....make sense to you?"

She would go ahead and stop cooking as he took his plate and take a seat across from him. She was not hungry so she would not eat. He could tell that much from such little interaction between each of them.
"Mhmm... that does make sense." She scratched the side of her head. "I do tend to get riled up and just head right in... Not as bad as some. Like I was not going to join in the battle between Aisuko the Ice-jin and her opponent, Like Wasabi... I felt I had no place to intervene in such a personal battle. The other two you said who might have been doing some energy transfer however... I felt that was underhanded and would not have minded evening the odds before... well before everything ended up happening the way it did."
She shrugged. "Certainly I am not so... hot headed with out a reason. In the moment... say what ever did that to my home was still standing right there..." she paused and bit her bottom lip thinking about it. "Knowing me, and I hate to admit it, I might not of had much focus to myself and lost my senses for a bit... I have not been so angry since I found out my parents were dead. Limax and I are not too different after today... I just... I learned my lesson the first time. I'd hope I would remember that lesson when I meet who ever did that." Would she have killed again after something like that? She would like to say the answer was no, but the likely hood seemed to might be close to it.

He nodded, swallowing.
"Everyone has their breaking point. Mine was my mother. But even at that point I didn't rush it. I waited a long time, to slowly turn them against once another. Force them to do the work of killing each other for me. When there was only a few left, then I took their life, after sharing with them the horrific knowledge that their friends, family, loved ones...were innocent and yet were put to death anyway."
He stared at her.
"My way is slower. More deliberate...and, in some ways I think, worse."
He set the empty plate down.
"But enough about that. Tell me, Rhona. Do you have a family name?"
Like...a last name.

considering what she already knew about El before this would fit in pretty well. He could very well be one dangerous man and even thought she might not see eye to eye with some of his methods she certainly was not going to be hypocritical and point them out this time. However she hadn't batted an eyelash hearing a bit about his story, she understood, and it seems like Myria was a place where things might be brutal but you were not questioned. Humans were once and can still be similar even if it is less seen in this age.
"I can see how it is kind of similar." She would comment for his original statements and then and answer his question. "I'm Rhona Hall... What about you? What is your full name?"
