"Ugh."
No apology was forthcoming, nor did she really intend to. Though she did feel bad for the burns he had, she also knew he was resilient.
And she hadn't been that strong, in the end.
"Why did I agree to any of this?" She quite quietly groused, waiting for the tank to open.

"Is this going to be a...regular occurrence, Aisuko? My husband dragging you in and putting you in the healing tank, like a beaten puppy?"
Ohhhh, harsh?
Maybe.
She wasn't malicious about it, but the question was upfront and quite blunt.

"Keerie...."
He raised a hand, shaking his head a little.
"We must give her and Okara some time. Time to process, time to adjust. I suspected my King would come up with an alternative notion, and what he decided was hard even for us to process. Just...the least of the evils. To her....she's going to make war with family, and take a throne. It's not something to be taken lightly, and she is young. She is allowed these few small discrepancies."
He gave a gentle smile to Keerie.
"After all, when I went to prison, let's not forget how you reacted."
He cocked a brow.

Aisuko snorted.
"I sure hope not." Her eyes narrowed as Dahveid spoke, and she looked away with another set of mumbles. "Maybe you should ask your son if he wants to continue to belittle me."
Freedom.
Out of the tank she came, trying not to look at either of them.

His words chafed, and she raised a brow in turn, moving deeper into the room with a slow and purposeful stride. Stalking, almost, one could say.
"Ah, but let us not forget that it was a judgement that lead to separation and exile. True her situation is not necessarily easier and they still are young, but she at least gets someone she is close to, at her side. Unless she feels the arrangement is a prison in itself..?"
She drew to a stop at Dahveid's side, arms loosely crossed, one hand gently holding the small tin of salve.
She was going to have to see if Namek had what she needed for more.
Still, she looked to Aisuko with the question.

Dahveid let out a deep "Hmm." at Aisuko's words, his tail unwrapping from around his waist to entwine with Keerie's. He'd rub his chin.
"My son is a difficult person to understand. He's had to deal with a life without me, then my sudden return. He's fallen for our races' enemy, he's soon to be a prince and then a Subordinate King. He's feeling many different things right now, and being as inexperienced as he is had become a problem. He's wrestling with newfound powers, while at the same time struggling to make himself more than just a spoiled child."
He would eye Aisuko.
"All while trying to both impress and protect you. Do you think he meant to belittle you, Aisuko? Was that his...purpose?"

Aisuko let out a sighing groan. There was only so much she could do at this point to not make Okara feel worse about his position than he probably was, but, add trying to bolster his position from 'subordinate' to equal to her list of things to do after beating Hail.
Keerie seemed to be onto something with that question and she remained stubbornly silent as to an answer for it. Her eyes did flicker to Dahveid, her form having been growing more and more tense since Keerie's question and Dahveid's words.
"I don't know at this point. For all I know some part of him feels insulted and belittled I agreed to the alternative way your King proposed and he's lashing out." Her teeth clicked together as she snapped her jaw shut and spent a few moments watching the two of them with narrowed eyes. "...guess I could maybe give him the benefit of doubt."
...awwww, wasn't she learning to be gracious?
Might be more convincing if she didn't sound a bit grudging over it.
Well, all things in time, right?

The slide of hsi tail against hers caused Keerie's eyes to veeeery slowly drift halfway closed. Soothing warmth radiated up her spine and her tail slowly coiled around Dahveid's, in turn. She slowly lowered herself to sit on the arm of the chair.
The blonde gave a soft sigh at Dahveid's words...wondering in how many ways she'd failed Okara, by the way she'd tried to raise him. She'd done the best she knew how to, at the time, she thought. But, looking back, now, she really questioned whether it truly was the best she could have done.
She watched Aisuko, trying to gauge the Jinn.
She misliked seeing the young Ice-Jinn so battered, but also knew it was a way to grow strength in her. She still hoped that Dahveid having to bring her to their space for healing would cease, but, she wasn't heartless or selfish, either.

He nodded, a gentle smile across his lips.
"We understand the difficulty you're in but, I surmise he was doing what Saiyans are taught to do. If someone you know is going to face an unknown, it's best to show you care by making them stronger. Me and my wife fought half a dozen times before coming here, in varying degrees of violence. It's how we push growth."
He scratched his head.
"If you want my advice, go and talk to him. Actually....talk. Something both of us need to do with him as well."

Aisuko frowned.
Deeply.
And then sighed, the tension leaking from her form, finally.
"...okay."

Dahveid received a small brush of her fingers against the top of his leg as he spoke of the beatings they had given one another on the trip here - and would continue to give one another, she knew - before her hand retracted, adjusting its grip on the jar.
Well. No harm in that, was there?
She inhaled slowly.

He would glance at Keerie before giving a little smile and a nod.
"Good luck, then."
He stared, waiting to see if she had more to add.

Aisuko shook her head and started to exit the room!
And paused once she got to the doorway.
"Thank you. I know I am not always agreeable or gracious."
Her shoulders had initially tensed, then went slack as she continued to speak beyond the initial two words. She would then take her leave, exiting the ship quickly!

Keerie gave a soft hum with the words and looked over her shoulder, arching a pale brow in curiosity and appreciation.
She didn't say anything, but her lips did quirk into a slight smile as the young female made her way out.

He looked up to Keerie, leaning back in the chair.
"The meeting with the King did as I thought it would. It calmed the fire in her when it comes to our race. Our son was smart to stoke it but....with her on the throne, our planets might have a chance at peace."
He looked to her.
"At least....until the next war."
