Rhona seemed to keep trying to find new things to eat as she went about her time between training sessions. It was a new planet too and things were not the same here. She could not afford to be picky, if she got a fruit that was not particularly sweet she ate it anyway as to not let it go to waste. Of course that called for more of a learning experience as to what she might or more like might not get next time she'd need a meal. She saw the locals and the Tournament goers mingle about. She was lucky enough to find some shop that gave some familiar Earth food. A good sized restaurant on wheels took advantage of the incoming tournament crowd.
She'd partake in a large couple of slices of thick Pizza. It took her home again, to birthday parties in the park and movie nights. Yeah food like this was full of carbs and grease but she thought she was working out hard enough to cut some slack on her healthy lifestyle. She felt she had worked harder here than she had ever worked in her life and it seemed like she was still falling behind. Of course she was not the only one growing stronger at the same time.
Just then she spotted a familiar Namekian not far in the crowd. "Hey! Yo Limax!" She smiled with a half mouthful of pizza waving her free and none Greasy hand in the air.

He remembered hearing stories from some of the Elder Namekian's that had spent time on Earth while he was a boy. They spoke of many strange and exotic things that Humans did. One of the interesting cultural phenomenons was the thing called The Zoos. A place where Human's had a variety of beasts contained and living in captivity while Human's would visit and watch. Just watch them eat and live and learn about them.
He felt this was similar. Once more he found himself watching the strange aliens from across the galaxy mingle and eat. All of them were fascinating, and the curiosity and wonder he felt must be just like what one felt watching The Zoo.
His head moved up when he heard his name, glancing around the crowd of aliens, many of them blending together until he found the Human calling his name. The Warrior Rhona Hall. He rose his hand in what he had learned was a typical greeting on Earth to greet her in return.
"Hello Rhona. How do you fair today?"
He asked as his eyes wandered to the hot droopy mess of stuff that she had in her hand. The pungent odor was formidable, and the liquid dripping from the slice appeared to be orange, he couldn't help but feel such a thing was toxic. Which made Human's even more impressive in his book, being able to eat something like that surely meant that they had a formidable internal fortitude!

She grinned swallowing another bite. "As fair as can be per say, chilling out with a good lunch. What about you? You kind of looked pretty relaxed in the distance, were you thinking about something?"
She take more bites and waited to see if that was enough to strike a conversation. She was not meaning to pry and hoped he did not see it that way. They were new friends and it was hard to figure him out as he kept his Stoic stature. Growing up in a small town she pretty much knew the same people most of her life so having a conversation with someone new was not easy for her. When it was not easy she would tend to ramble or ask questions. Well that was when she was younger as she got older people did not like her temper or the way she always whooped their butts. It was strange how much stronger she became growing up. with it she felt kind of excluded and that did not make things any easier. However now on Namek she felt so small and everyone was so strong. She was relieved and almost sad about it at the same time. Of course no one likes losing, it just depends on what you lost.

"I was just thinking that this might be similar to The Zoo."
He said casually, oblivious to the fact that someone might take offense to having anything they did be compared to being in a zoo. He continued to watch her as she ate however, fascinated by what she was consuming and how it didn't seem to bother her in the slightest. Did it smell good to her maybe? And was was the stuff dripping off of it...?

Rhona looked at him and thought that it sounded funny, but then she looked at the crowd again and something made sense about it. "I guess when you look at it like that it might makes some sense. As if there was a barrier between you and whatever you look at because you are only seeing a snippet of their daily lives."
She looked back at him and realized something else. "Ever had pizza before? Meat, cheese, sauce, and crust. it is the most American way to Italian cuisine. Those are two countries back on my planet, thought If you don't know Pizza then certainly you don't know what I am saying. If it doesn't hurt for you to eat would you like to try some?" Grinning, she knew it was not indigenous to this planet and that Namekians did not really need to eat, taking nutrients from the sun and stuff. She'd proceed to tear a clean piece and offer it to him. She was almost done with the last slice.

"I haven't."
He said eyeing the strange food. A strange food with an even stranger explanation. A food made by one country to be like another countries. Was there a purpose to that? Was it a way of showing admiration? Was it an attempt to one up the other? Was Rhona American or Italian? Or were those even things anymore?
"I think I will pass, but thank you."
He said, not feeling confident enough to try putting such an off putting thing into his body. But she obviously knew what was okay for her own body.
"You fought well in the tournament. I'm sorry to see that you didn't progress to the next round. But you fought valiantly and with great skill."

Rhona paused when he mentioned the Tournament. Suddenly the pizza tasted bland and her stomach dropped. It did not feel like it was over already, but the fact that it was actually tore into her. She sheepishly touched her ear lobes where her mothers pearl earrings were always worn. It cleared her throat enough to speak about it.
"Yeah... Wasabi was really strong. I did not see it, but I heard you are advancing, congratulations are in order for that."

He gave a small bow of appreciation at her words. "It was a well fought battle, but I can't rest on my victory." There was still much that he needed to do, and personal goals and milestones that he had yet to reach. Winning one round was a nice reinforcement that he wasn't wasting his time trying to become a warrior.
He couldn't help but noticed the change in Rhona though, and while he was far from an expert on Human's and their body language he imagined if it was him he'd be disappointed. Maybe even discouraged. "You shouldn't either."
He didn't know how Human's liked to be comforted, but he thought that honest truth must surely be universal.
"You are an impressive warrior, and a single loss is meaningless."

She looked up at the Namekian and broke a half smile. He was right and it was exactly what her Father might say.
"It has been so long since I lost like that... I grew distant from other humans at home as I grew to be a better fighter. Still I was always looking for the next level, now I am here, and it kicked my ass. I've said it before, I was not expecting to win..." She rubbed the back of her neck and sighed. "but Absolutely Nobody likes losing."
It was official she had lost her appetite and with only a half slice left on her plate she'd walk over to a trashcan not two feet from them and toss it out. dusting off her bright orange pants she'd speak to him again. "I know there is some time before the next round if you are not too beaten up or tired would you mind a training session? I might need blow off some steam."

"It would be an honor to train with you once more."
He gave her another small bow of respect as she disposed of what was left of her food. He'd ponder what she had said as they made their way to the training rooms. She hadn't lost in a while, and yet she did not expect to win. But one would think someone used to winning would expect to continue winning.
Clearly Rhona had an idea of how strong the warriors in the tournament were supposed to be, and viewed herself as a lower level. Much like how Farmers are a lower caste than Warriors. And yet, like him she had made the qualifiers and into the main tournament. Even making it to round one was a victory when one considered all of the other warriors who did not make it as far.
"Losing however is necessary. A warrior who has never lost is no warrior."

She'd head toward the training ground. "Yeah my Dad thought the same way. But he also would make me fight him to remind me that getting a big head is also not like that of a warrior. So I never assume to win... even though I really would rather not lose. I feel like I should have taken that loss and learned something from it. Though I feel like I tried my best. Maybe I'll find something, but I am not very good at concluding where I messed up."
Keeping it humble was probably one of the things her Father drilled into her the most. Rhona was a hot tempered kid and if she was not in check she certainly ended up starting fires. As she grew into this age she was still hot tempered but she worked to check herself more often than not. She did not want to hear Dad turning in his grave. It came down to fighting her frustrations out or meditating.

"I imagine that you will have learned from it in some form no matter what. You do not seem the type to be willfully ignorant."
If nothing else she'd have an idea on how he fought, and could keep those things in mind for future fights against him, or others that show a similar fighting style or abilities. There was something to be said for just natural experience as you are exposed to better fighters. Though one needed the abilities to put that experience to use. Which is why training was so important, whether winning or losing if you allowed yourself to lose your edge you will fall behind.
Stepping into the training room this time he'd wait for her to make the first move. Rather than rush in an attack and go right for the offensive, he'd try his hand at being a bit more defensive. Keeping in mind how last time she used their height difference to her own advantage. And the power of her Ki attack. He was curious on if she still had trouble with the long wind up time on it, or if she had taken his advise to practice short controlled blasts.
"Whenever you are ready."

Following him in the training room she tossed her hair back she did not have a hair tie but that wont hinder her. She tapped her toes securing her shoes and put up her dukes. "Alright!"
One food slid back before she launched herself forward. She was light on her toes coming up to the Namekian, but instead of landing punches on him when she got close she'd hop back half a step and swing a knee in the side of his gullet. She remembered last time he was good at going for the limbs so she might prefer to keep hers close and tight. It lacks even more range which is not to her advantage but if it would keep him from trying to snap her then it would just have to be dealt with.

She was right to assume that he was going to go for the limbs, but he had a far longer reach than she could hope to have. So he'd hop backwards from her attack, his left arm shooting forward and stretching as his palm flattened to be like a blade as energy surrounded his arm as it went to stab into her grounding leg.
"Holy dragon's Claws."

Rhona's heart leaped from her chest and she barely had anything but mere seconds to move. Her leg missed him but it was not a complete waste as she continued the momentum and leaped using a shot of flight Ki to lift her body above the sharp arm. She flew side ways tossing her legs over. It was not full proof, A hot pain swept across her leg before it came off the ground. a Deep cut tore through her orange pants forever staining them.
"Holy Drag- what?" She made a swift landing but kept moving activating her flying skates. "Dude sometimes I think you really aim to kill. I can't regrow limbs like you can my friend." she skated and guarded her self by keeping her arms close and up. but she bolted again, charging to her opponent. Never mind the bleeding that was oozing from her leg. She was mentally telling herself "Pain was in the mind and not relevant." She'd try and come close again to give him a good strong slug aiming for his face and chest. With her skates there was added height and this was a more than possible.
