"Bitch, I AM ON YOUR LEVEL-!" (Keerie)

Keerie growled as she saw her husband shamble towards her. Her unbroken arm didn't move, though her finger did give a subtle twitch. Not so subtle was the small orb of light that signalled an oddball bullet was imminent. Dahveid wasn't the only one with a competitive streak a mile wide.
The unfortunate part was that she wasn't entirely sure she could drag them to the tanks, but she would try.
The problem was that last blast left her fairly bloody and she wasn't sure it was all superficial.
But she wasn't going to just roll over, either.

"Enough. We have a war to fight, and arriving on the planet in pieces is not going to help us."
Still, he'd stop and point all five fingers at her, orbs appearing on each, ready to fire. He knew she was proud, but maybe she would see his message.
That this could end in a draw, instead of one of them out of commission.

Her blood still sang in her veins. Those blue eyes of hers stared almost balefully for several long moments.
"Fine. A draw it is..."
She arched a brow and - with seemingly only a soft sound of exertion - slowly lifted herself off the floor.

Dahveid lowered his hand and turned to look at those staring profusely at him. He stood tall, almost in challenge despite his broken limb and shredded body.
"We're sorry....how rude of us. Would any of you like a piece?"
He stared, waiting for a reply while his wife collected herself.

Keerie turned her gaze around, too, as she floated into an upright position and appeared to set herself on her feet despite her broken leg.
That blue, baleful gaze slid over them.
With Dahveid's challenge, she watched most initially turn away and walk off... Or move more quickly than a placid gate. The others would turn and leave as well. Nobody seemed to want a piece of them, mangled as they were. Or maybe it was because they were torn apart and would still fight them.
Her earlier display probably hadn't helped. The attack that had crumbled the prison he had been held in, and she just flew at full power into it?
Batshit insane? Maybe, but they were clearly on another level in comparison.
"Cowards."

Dahveid sniffed, then turned to Keerie.
"I did not think so. Come, lets go get healed."
Dahveid did not call them a name, as she did. Her word more than spoke for him. The only ones left by the time everyone walked away were the Dragon Core, all of whom folded their arms and chucked up their chins in challenge. Dahveid smirked. They didn't step forward, but they weren't leaving. As though to say- "We didn't say we want a piece, we know what's up. But we aint runnin', bitch."
Dahveid would give a solid clap to the arm of the one in front- Germiah Shieks, one of his Captains.
"Come. You will guard our bodies as they heal."
Germiah nodded his large bald head. The entire Core had shaved their skulls, including the women, in solidarity.
He respected them.

She had no qualms in issuing such descriptive words. Keerie glanced at the remaining ones that didn't move forward... All faces she had been somewhat familiar with, before. She gave them a nod but remained silent after her utterance of the one word.
She lifted herself up enough to float forward, not bothering to glance at Dahveid, to see if he was coming. She figured they all would, any way.
The situation they were moving towards bothered her. She didn't know what to expect, she only knew that she was still weaker, despite their constant hammering on one another. If she didn't have her poker face on, she would have been frowning.

Dahveid, almost as though he could read her mind, would speak.
"I remain stronger than you, Keerie, because I fight others. I'm fighting my Core, I intend to train the prince. I intend to fight Karo again and others in the invasion. I fight constantly- if you want to usurp my strength, you should battle others too. Grow without me. Then...then you'll see you are more than capable of defeating me."
He glanced at her, hoping she wouldn't take this advice as an insult. Germiah would clear his throat.
"All do respect, Dahveid....you could use more of said training. If she's not fighting anyone other than you and she's still growing at her rate...."
Dahveid would face forward, not responding. Germiah would taper off, realizing he overstepped and instead opting to remain silent.

She might have said something, had a throat not been cleared. As it was she glanced discreetly at Dahveid, her eyes a quiet steel.
Yet, thoughtful.
"...to truly grow, one needs to fight those stronger." She deigned to glance back at Germiah and the others that followed. No offense. "Not that you or the Prince would not help me improve, but strength breeds a different kind of strength."
She gave no real indication whether she would bother to hammer on the others, at that point.

Dahveid smiled.
"White true, strength also grows through challenge. Why else do I grow stronger from fighting you? Or my core? Or Karo? I am stronger than all of you, like it or not. But fighting you still causes increases in my strength. Despite the differences in power, you all present me with unique challenges. Ones I have to actually think to overcome, rather than simply plow through on sheer force."
He would turn into the healing room, walking over to the controls while holding his broken arm. He'd then start pushing buttons, opening two of them side by side.
"You are getting stronger....but I remain on top, still."
A smirk.

She smirked in turn, despite feeling herself bristle at the slight.
"Careful. If I surpass you I may come to feel you are no longer worthy."
As the two opened, she floated herself placidly into the one farther from Dahveid. Foolish man, stirring her up again. She'd get him back, later.

Dahveid smirked.
"Considering I still find you worthy, I doubt that."
They were alone in this room, the Core staying outside to guard them. He'd lean against the tank, watching her crawl inside before he stripped and lifted himself in as well. He'd close the lid without much ado, sighing as the healing liquids began their work on his body.

Most of her clothes were flayed as it was, and with the lack of adrenaline from the fight, she wasn't sure she could muster a lot of energy to strip the remnants of them.
"We shall see."
Her tail uncoiled from her waist as the liquid rushed in, and she gave a slight shiver and the faintest of groans as she closed her eyes.
Bliss.
