She had spent much time in the crater that was her families home she sorted through the wreckage and cleaned up the ruins. She found not of what was left of her family but still she stacked a few sticks and stones to mark their grave. She was wanted on other worlds and she was targeted by someone. It ached to know her family paid that price... again.
She undid her pony tail and let loose some sweat drenched golden locks it trailed long to her lower back and had gentle waves like heat waves on pavement. She traced her scars across her abdomen and arms remembering how recent they really were how her partners had gotten stronger how she too had gotten stronger with them. And yet she was left behind and they were traveling across the cosmos.
They lost a planet, that didn't compare to losing all she had cared about to them. For she still had her planet but what else was there for her on it? What was she going to fight for from now on? Suppose protecting everyone else and possibly preserving what memories she may. Hence the grave she now built, hence her finished empty and neat plot of land ready to be built upon by maybe herself or maybe another if she chose to sell it. she hadn't decided yet. Suppose it was all a matter of if the next threat is a world destroying one.
She was on her knees with a silent prayer her hands together over her heart and her head bowed low. Yes she still had her planet and it was a planet she wanted to share with them and the rest who had survived. They were welcome and a better chance would have been provided for sure. Yet... it was not meant to be.
She rose up and began to rise slowly for when she took off she would likely topple the shrine she just built by accident. Once she thought to be high enough for a safe take off she did so and bolted to the refugee camp.
