OOC: Continued from here. IC: El landed harshly, skipping several steps before skidding to a stop.... Right outside Alliance headquarters. The place was in disarray, full of bodies and rushing papers. Namek, one of the alliance planets, suddenly went off the map. El knew why- perhaps, at this point, they were well aware too. That mattered very, very little to him. Stepping forward in his armor without the helmet. He'd attempt to find reception, where he'd approach calmly. If there was no reception, he'd grab the nearest person- " Excuse me- How would I join the alliance police force?" Elturic, when finding himself in mission status, was committed one hundred percent. He'd shave his beard and cut his hair if he had to. He'd disavow his planet, renounce claims to the throne....in his culture, personal quests of this type were rare. Life debts. As far as he knew, Rhona had saved him from Namek. She'd been the only one nearby that he could remember that could have done something to keep him from popping like an earthian grape. For his plan to succeed, he needed to join this alliance. To have a ship.

To say the receptionist was frazzled was to say the universe wasn't small. Half of the Alliance just went dark and no one really had any details on the matter. Namek was just gone. Along with all of the soldiers, civilians, and infrastructure in place. It was a disaster. A worst case nightmare scenario and like his superiors, he was drowning in work trying to figure out not only what happened, but how to keep things together.
"Excuse me?"
He did a double take at the man and the question. Mythrosian from the look of him. Not many others would walk around in a get up like that. Cursing himself silently that he was on duty for this. He didn't have time for this today. He'd let out a long deep sigh as he settled in. This had the feeling of a headache.
"You need to apply for Alliance citizenship first, then once your visa is approved you will be able to apply for any job with an opening. Pending a successful background check. Should you get hired you will need to pass a psychological exam, a written test, and a three month training bootcamp. Should you pass the bootcamp then you will be granted an assignment."
It wasn't a quick process. And the visa alone could take months or longer to process. Especially with alliance manpower suddenly devastated.

"That is no good. I need to join now."
He'd pull on his beard a little and glance at the rush.
"Who is in charge? Tell them I know what happened to Namek. I was there. In exchange for citizenship and a place on the task force, I will share this information."
He'd stare at the woman, ready for just such an instance of lag time.

He let out another long sigh when the alien didn't accept his answer. And more than that, wanted to speak to someone in charge, claiming to know what happened to Namek. A tall tale surely, but given the situation. He didn't want to just ignore it. Glancing at the clock he'd roll his eyes. Fuck it, he thought. He needed to take his lunch anyways. Picking up the phone he'd exchange a few words with whoever was on the other side. "Have a seat over there and someone will fetch you shortly." He'd motion over to some chairs on the other side of the room. Watching and waiting for El to do as he was told before packing up his stuff and leaving for lunch. He couldn't handle today. After about a good ten minutes however someone would be standing in front of El Hemlock. "I'm to understand you have information that may be of service to us?"

El would shake his head.
"I'll wait here."
He'd stay standing, facing forward, until the next lady came forward. He'd offer his hand for a shake.
"Thank you for seeing me. Do you have somewhere we could speak in private?"
Assuming she shook his hand, El would likely follow this new one into a room on the side, his armor well oiled and so making very little noise. He'd put his hands behind his back and watch this human with the eyes of a predator. Staring for several seconds he'd clear his throat, glancing away.
"My name is Elturic Hemlock. I am a chieftan on Myria. I left for Namek in order to see my King and appeal to become one of the seven protectors of my world. We attended the summit, with King Vegeta, Dahveid Blaze, the Namekians Limax and Atlanti as well as a little green man Wasabi and your guardian, Vo Lang."
He cleared his throat.
"You, I'm sure, know this. But I highly doubt anyone walking in off the street would know it. Now. I'll continue to display my credibility, but once I inform you of what I know, I want your personal assurances that I will be immediately inducted into the Alliance Police force. I do not need your training, nor will my background check reveal any warrants or information of any kind. Prior to Namek and Earth, I have never interacted with the Alliance, so waiting those months would be a waste of time. A waste I cannot afford."
He stared, waiting for that assurance.

He'd shake the alien's hand. His grip nearly bone crushingly firm. Though the pleasant smile on his face wouldn't indicate that he was trying to harm the visitor to their world. He would also agree to take him to a private room. Opting for one that they use for interrogations. It had a table and two chairs that he'd motion for Elturic to take one.
"Greetings Elturic. You can call me Captain Hammer."
And with that Elturic seemed to get into his story. The Captain would nod along, not interrupting and allowing Elturic to say his piece. He was aware of the summit. Though not all the names he listed were ones that he knew. But it was clear that he'd at least been present. Most people didn't know of Vo Lang and the Guardians.
"I am afraid I can't make that happen. We have procedures and we like to follow them around here."
He'd say, tapping his chin thoughtfully.
"Though I'd wager joining the Alliance isn't your boyhood dream judging from what you've told me. So how about you cut to the chase and tell me what it is you really want."

El didn't seem phased by the bone crushing grip. Some women were intimidated by his vast facial hair and were forced to compensate by flexing their muscles. He'd instead do as previously stated and sigh.
"That is unfortunate. I need a ship and a tag for someone who kidnapped my friend. I am unwilling to hand it over to your group while you are in this state of disarray to 'handle yourselves'. So, in order to find and save her as quickly as possible, I wished to join your group and track her down myself, and bring her kidnapper to justice."
He'd unfold his arms and push off the wall.
"It seems I will have to find another way to get the information I need. As will you."
He didn't have time to waste arguing semantics- he'll just steal a ship. Second best option, but he had no choice. He'd do what he needed.
He'd head for the door.

"And out of curiosity, just how do you intend to find your friend, whom I assume was taken off world?"
He could understand the sense of panic the man was obviously facing, since a five minute conversation with the authorities was more time than he was willing to spare. But he was confident that rationality would save the day, and that if his friend was kidnapped that the Alliance could do a much better job finding whoever it was than Elturic could on his own.

He glanced back, offering a little smile.
"That is no longer your concern, is it?"
He would move to leave.

"I'm afraid both it, and you are."
He'd proven that he has some connection to the destruction of Namek, and thus he couldn't just be allowed to leave without a debriefing at the very least. And so it was that the Alliance Captain would bar the door, standing between Elturic and his escape.
"I would like you to sit down."
Or be sat down.

El stopped, chin dipping down as his eyes glinted.
"You have no right to keep me here. Move."
His legs would spread just a little, intent to make his escape. If one thing was always taught to him, it was have an exit route. He wasn't about to risk an open battle with so many enemies around....but an open escape? Perhaps.

He let out a long sigh.
"You've made yourself a person of interest in the destruction of Namek. So you must surely understand why I feel like I can't let you go without questioning."
Still banking on Elturic being a reasonable person.

El was a reasonable person. But he was also reasonably sure he would be here a while.
"So I offer you information in exchange for something. You refuse to give me what I want, then intend to extract that information anyway. Any number of people escaped Namek- they're all suspects, then? Civilians? Children? Or is it just this armor that you think gives you just cause. You have no evidence implicating me in any way- so, I have done nothing wrong."
He started powering up.
"Just because someone has information you want, that doesn't entitle you to it. Now let me go- I will not ask again."

The scouter on the Captain's eye beeped as El powered up prompting him to frown as the situation continued to escalate. He sighed again.
"You just came here and told me you were there. That makes you involved, whether or not you are responsible. Giving you an alliance vessel is out of the question, but if your story checks out I am willing to assign a task force to locate your friend."

El continued to power up- then stopped as the Captain made his offer. His hands slowly lowered as his power level would hold steady. (PL: 440)
"You would send a task force.....?"
El did not want that. But he couldn't get a ship alone- that made sense. Giving him proprietary technology would be difficult for any commander. His brow would twitch.
"Very well. Meet me half way. Let me go with this task force. In exchange I'll willingly tell you what I know."
