His time on Namek so far had been spent tinkering with his current suit when he wasn't out collecting scans or going over diplomatic files. It was an endless string of numbers and words. Profiles and reports. He was in his element, soaking up the information like a sponge. In his world knowledge was power, and power lead to status within the Empire. However, raw data could only go so far. Theoretical builds and designs were all well and good, but tools needed to be functional. They needed to be used and stressed tested so that improvments could be made.
He couldn't bother the General with such trivial matters, and being as far away from the Armada as he was thefe were few options available to him. Really the one that he did know of he was also fortunate enough to know. His darling little sister. With a spring in his step he made his way to his Sister's shuttle, giving the door a hard three knocks. A little unprofessional to go further than two knocks. But they were family.

Berri’s eyes roamed over the last notes she had made out in the field. The numbers added up as she expected, causing her to give a nod of satisfaction before her ears were assaulted by the sound of some fool’s fist pounding against her shuttles door like it was their life purpose. Her lips pulled into a deep frown at the interruption, halfway to giving her visitor an earful before registering whose face was on her shuttle’s feed. She chuckled and turned off the monitor as she stood and hit the button that would start to open the shuttle door.
“Hello, big brother.” She grinned at him and, when the door reached just before the halfway point, she hit the button again so the door would start to close instead. “Imagine seeing you here.”

When the door started to close he'd just stick his foot in, counting on it's safety features to kick in as he smiled back as his baby sister.
"You didn't know I was on world? Why dear Sister, it seems like they may have over estimated your skills."

Much as he anticipated, Bana's foot activated the safety measure. The door opened again as Berrie chuckled more openly and waved a finger at her brother. No one's getting crushed on her ship.
"Oh, I know you'd be here." The peace talks had been word on the street here besides the tournament. She knew he'd be here. "But that doesn't tell me why you're here. Not that I'm complaining." She looked him over as she waved him inside when the door was fully open. He looked rather pleased with himself, so was it a new devolpment that would add a notch to his belt, or something else?

"Can't a brother come see his little Sisget without an ulterior motive. We're family and a unit."
He'd gladly slide into her shuttle once the door was fully open. Taking a good look around. Not as spacious as his accommodations, but they wouldn't be considering.
"Hiding a secret boyfriend here?"
He'd ask, but he already suspected the answer was a big resounding no. The next question was more likely to yield fruit.
"How have your scans gone?"

S"Of course. And Nameks are actually purple." She snorted a laugh and closed the door again, shutting the outside world out of her space. Not that he couldn't, but with events as they were, his focus wouldn't been elsewhere. Of course, all that went out the window with his question.
"No." Duh, Bana. She rolled her eyes with a shake of her head, the emphasis lingering inside the ship. She crossed her arms over her chest, leaning her weight on one foot as she started to ask Bana a question, only to get his instead.
"They're what I expected. There are a few that stand out, likely for the peace talks or elite warriors making a presence. Maybe a couple hanging on to tournament glory while they have it." Her arms unfolded, tension melting form her shoulders at the change in topic. This was what she lived for.
"Nothing like the power spike from the other day, though." Another frown as she remembered the way her scanners had gone haywire. Do you know how fun it is to be in the process of docking when an infirmary gets lit like a firework? All kinds, and Berri would be happy to tell you. "I was planning to go out and gather more samples."

"I believe the proper term for them is Namekiam." He said correcting her. It was hard to say though if he got more pleasure from correcting her or her reaction when boys were brought up. Either way he was all smiles. Until she brought up the anomoly of a power spike from the other day.
It was hard to say what it was, but it didnt last long. That was both a positive and negative. It was good that it didn't seem to cause lasting damage to the planet while they were on it, however with such a brief window it was impossible to determine what exactly it was.
"A wise move, be discreet if possible. But so far I have found subjects here willing to part with the information freely."
Probably still riding the high from the festivities. But he'd be a fool to turn it down.

"Yes, yes." Berri waved a hand at the correction and proceeded with the conversation as though it had never happened, intending to squash that delight before it inflated her beloved brother's ego. Her shuttle only had so much space, after all.
"It's true, though. Namekian, human, android, whatever. They all seem happy to gossip and share what they know or think they know." That was the thing, of course. On one hand, information could be freely gained from people who were more than happy to talk. On the other hand, the quality or accuracy of the information usually came into question. For Berri, that was half the fun and half her job.
"I doubt it will take long to find out more. Everyone agrees they saw at least one person fly away after the blast." It was the who or what that no one seemed to be able to agree on.

"The verbal information may be questionable but my scans are not."
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a memory stick. The data from his recent outings and the valuable scans he'd acquired of some very powerful organics and an android with interesting systems.
"If you'd like I can share the information and make your report a little easier to put together. I won't even ask much."
He grinned.
"Just a chance to field test my framework of a new suit model."

Berri ignored the very obvious follow up to the notion of data versus speculation, an irritated expression crossing her face as though her brother were treating her like a child. Then her gazed fixed on his face, eyes narrowing as he brought about the shiny bait for the trap: his scans. Competent scans. Scan she could certainly use to bolster her own research.
Of course there was no ulterior motive to his visit. None whatsoever. She raised a brow at him, waiting for her darling brother to name his price. A smirk touched her lips when he did, knowing he could ask plenty for shared data. Then again, her brother's reputation did proceed him a bit.
Then again, if she was going to investigate whatever blasted the infirmary on this planet, there really wasn't much of a difference in risk. She could use a bit of testing, herself. There was always a chance she might need to change something or fine tune it, and better to do so now than find out later while she was exploring the planet.
"Deal." She reached out to take the memory stick from him, intending to snatch it now while she could before he tried holding it out of reach.
"I can even throw in some salve for you, if you like." Her brother was positively pink.

He let her take the stick and have her moment of triumph. And even if he was giving her a steal of a deal he had his own reasons. Besides helping his sister out. Since he was with the diplomatic envoy the report would be coming back to help him in the negotiations.
"You are too generous Sis." He said dryly. The suns on this world was still horrible. But it had other charms at least.
"I would like to do the field test before you analyze the data however."
He had other things to do still.

"Naturally," she agreed with a smooth smile. It applied both to her generosity and his desire to do the field test first. She gave the memory stick a wistful look before securing it elsewhere for later, the locking mechanism going off once she did so. It meant he would get the filed test he desired before she lost herself in what data he provided, and the diplomatic meetings, too.
"Twist my arm a little further, why don't you?" With a dramatic sigh, she stepped back from him, stepping into the smaller room where she had access to some salves and other items, coming back a moment later with a small white jar and handing it to him. it was a remedy from home, the label written in small, meticulous lettering.
"That should be everything, I think. Where would you like to take this?"

"Outside away from prying eyes. I am experimenting with fusion cores so..."
Well there were a few reasons he would prefer to not have this witnessed by other races. This was going to be the basis of his future work. There was little point giving the Saiyans a warning ahead of time.
He'd take the salve and crack it open before putting some on his sunburned skin. Closing his eyes as it soothed his prickling skin. He could already feel it taking away the heat.
"Thankfully one thing this world doesnt lack is barren wasteland."

"Ah." That would certainly do it. Berri nodded as he mentioned the focus of his work, making a mental note to check the suit's resistance afterwards and maybe enhance it. Just in case. Keeping it away from prying eyes was important, as well. No one else needed to get their hands on the idea or see it in action until it had the family stamp of approval.
"I've noticed." She mused wrly and made a face at the mention of the wastelands. It felt like such a waste, even if it worked in their favor now. If she were one to believe in happy accidents, the planet's terrain would be one.
She stretched her arms behind her, fingers lacing together as she did so and waited for Bana to finish with the salve. She could see the relief on his face after he checked the bottle. To be fair, she had given him exactly what she promised and had decided against anything else.
"I'm ready when you are." The sooner they were done, the sooner she could get back, though this had its own perks as well.

Despjte this being his idea and everything, with the soothing balm on his skin he didn't want to go back out into the harsh suns this world had to offer. But he also wasn't going to accomplish anything just standing in here keeping both him and his sister from work.
"Alright, I scouted out a valley a few miles away. It should be far away enough to keep our stress test away from prying eyes."
He was nothing of not prepared. And so with a quick tap to his chest the metal plates and fibets started to shift over his body until he was in his power armor. Stretching his arms outward he'd watch to see if his sister followed suit.
"So this is the framework of my new prototype. What do you think?"
He thought it looked amazing.
