Sojun grinned when Cale came back up to him and began to go further with his power. Finally.
"Yes please, show me your full power."
Finally for a brief moment a green flame like aura would seep off the joints and curves of his muscles as energy pumped through his body. This was the power he wanted to see, and to show his respect for the Saiyan mortal he would show Cale more of his power than he has shown any mortal.

Cale rose into the air a bit higher, nodding as he watched the green aura appear around Sojun. So the god was preparing for what Cale could do.
He had to make sure the God of Law still wasn't prepared enough.
The Saiyan spread his arms, opened his mouth, and began to scream. His heartrate skyrocketed alongside his power as energy coursed through his veins. The wildfire of his aura grew brighter and spread out a few feet from his body, his muscles tensing, his voice picking up. Pulses of light began to shoot out from his body, and the ground within the nullifying barrier started to crack and rise in jagged shapes. "I'm going to give this everything!!" Cale shouted over the wind as it built up, blasting out from him in all directions.
Scouters that looked at him would have been popping left and right as Cale focused on his rising power, shaping it, giving it form within his own body. The ascension to Super Saiyan 3 was unique, it required more than just power and anger; it needed a reason. Something personal, something you fought for. As close to enlightenment as a Saiyan could come. And Cale's reason?
Sammi. Krain. Cole and Raba. Every bird in the air, every blade of grass, every fish in every sea. The Earth was his to protect, and all of the life it contained. Cale had seen the worst the universe had to offer, beings from beyond it who could threaten it at any moment, and he had set out years ago to be the lighthouse on the storming shore. He carried a sword, but Cale himself was a shield. The wavebreak against an oncoming tsunami, constantly growing stronger.
And so did he.
With a final shout, Cale's aura blasted outwards and his hair began to grow down his back, veins bulging along his face and neck, muscles straining beneath the armor he wore. His eyebrows vanished, his forehead distending, blue-green eyes growing sharper, deadlier. His transformation into the third form was an explosion, creating a wide crater beneath him that stretched a hundred yards in all directions and almost fifty deep.
"This attack is the culmination of my abilities," he said, spreading his palms wide, keeping his shoulders straight, feeling energy coalesce around his forearms and weave between his fingers, forming in his palms. "Everything I learned from my masters and my friends!" Silvered blue lightning began flashing across his body, his voice becoming more and more strained. Cale's power surged beyond the limits of his body, seeking a way out, and he was all too eager to provide it.
The broken stones on the ground chunked away and began floating, gravity no longer having any place against the might of his power. The water nearby frothed and rolled, droplets of it rising in spirals, then entire geysers. He pushed it farther, farther, testing the limits of his body, of his energy, as he pumped more and more into his arms, feeling the power of two stars forming in his hands.
And then he brought his hands forwards, crossed at the wrists, and released it all. "FINAL FLARE!!" he shouted, and in spite of the breaking ground and the roaring waters, the wind screaming all around him, Cale's voice rang out loud and clear. There was a moment of silence, nothing moved... and then the world was thrown into a destructive chaos. A flash akin to a solar flare blew out from Cale's palms and body, and a beam that encompassed the term "massive" ripped outwards towards Sojun. Larger than Cale was tall, it seemed almost impossible to have so much power so keenly focused in one direction. That it stayed straight and true without scattering was a feat that defied physics and showed the true depths of the force behind the attack.
In the same instant that he had launched the beam, it was nearly upon Sojun, and everything near Cale was blasted back like it had been caught in a nuclear explosion. The trees in the area were ripped free of their roots and flipped end over end, the water in the air rained sideways, the boulders shattered and were blasted back as dust. Cale could feel his power dropping precipitously from just the one attack, but none of that mattered.
All that mattered was the freeing elation that came with so much power.

"Not bad."
A comment he'd speak loud enough for himself as he watched the power he had sensed before. He had only ever seen the Legendary Super Saiyan pop up every one thousand years and even then only around fifteen to thirty thousand. This must show the sacrifice and turmoil of the land he comes from. At the call out of the power behind this attack Sojun wasn't going to play around either. However the flashing light made him cover up and grit his teeth, it was the attack from before, but the scale... It was far greater.
"Shit!"
He barely got his hands out in time to intercept the beam this time, the concussive force of it making contact blew the top portion of his clothes into nothingness. His muscles strained from the energy. He would have to power up to thirty percent to deflect the blast, and once deflected Sojun would speed towards Cale throwing a right punch low for his gut before going to fifty percent and tapping him on the forehead with his left index finger.

Cale could feel it when his Final Flare hit Sojun, but he couldn't feel the way the god powered up to deflect the blast; he only saw that it had been just before Sojun appeared in front of him. With the attack ended, exhaustion took hold of Cale's body and he was sluggish to respond, even in his heightened Super Saiyan 3 state. Sojun's fist pushed into his gut and Cale doubled over in the air, his eyes growing wide from pain and shock. He only just looked up when Sojun tapped him on the head, and a wave of force washed over his entire body from that point. Cale careened backwards, crossing the vast distance within the barrier in a near instant before slamming against the inside of the barrier, disoriented.
He thought for a moment about fighting back, about peeling himself from the wall and rushing towards Sojun to get just one more hit, one more glorious impact of bone and muscle, but knew there was no point. And remaining in his third form risked expending too much energy for him to quickly recover. Instead Cale breathed out as he pushed away from the barrier, releasing his hold on his transformation to descend back through the forms to his base, the golden locks waving behind him shrinking back into his scalp and fading to black just as he landed.
"So... so that's a god huh?" he asked, leaning forwards and panting, sweat dripping down his brow onto the grass below before he straightened up, feeling at his sore forehead. "Made you worried though."

Sojun would flout over to Cale after retrieving both swords from wherever they landed in the tussle to give Cale back his. His smile still on his face as he landed near by.
"Indeed. I was unprepared for the technique being so vastly more powerful than the first. I had to use thirty percent of my power. More than any mortal I've ever come across."
He folded his hands and thought about it a bit of a smirk forming on his face.
"It would definitely change the field of the universe should these transformations become common place. I thought I may have been special discovering the third eye form."

Cale tossed Edge up into the air, stepping forwarded and leaning so thales blade slid cleanly into its ornate sheathe, breathing out as he walked. "Transformations of that caliber aren't entirely commonplace in my time line, only a select few reach those heights, but we've had to do so in response to threats of that level," he explained, stopping for a moment and looking into the distance, but his eyes were even more so distant. More like he was looking through the bounds of this world. "Too often much too late."
Clearing his throat, Cale turned to Sojun with a mirrored smirk. "I suppose I should take it as a compliment I didn't make you reach the halfway point," he gibed. He found his mind wandering to the red haired Saiyan from earlier, and the truth behind his research.
There was a fourth, corrupted form of Super Saiyan he could reach if he tried. A mix of fear at a potential loss of control, and personal misgivings about the form itself, had made Cale wary about trying. But should he wait until it were absolutely necessary to use that kind of power, or learn before it might be needed? Perhaps if he'd had the chance to train his Great Ape form at a younger age it might have been possible for Cale to attempt but trying to reach Golden Ozaru now in a ploy for Super Saiyan 4 was a risk Cale wasn't entirely certain he could justify; losing control was not an option. Krain and Sammi had both used Ozaru before, he'd been able to help keep them focused as they utilized it's Golden, enhanced form. His Saiyan mind wanted to know what that power felt like, but the Commander Cale he had become likely never would. It was a role he'd played for too many years now. If he continued being reactive, what would happen if an enemy far enough beyond him appeared in the Age 1000 and he was unprepared? Was his worry going to cost lives, if not the war?
"I knew a warrior on Earth who had abilities like yours," he said to Sojun. "A human who bore the blood of an ancient Triclops race. He had a third eye and used techniques very similar to yours. You mentioned having been mortal at some point, and it has me curious: I was under the assumption that the Gods have always existed as they are. Saiyans can generate God energy in a unique transformation, but I haven't heard about a mortal fully becoming a God."

So Jun would nod along with his explanation on the transformations of his people. Apparently not very common, but it would seem the select few are very powerful. The next bit however had him tilt his head.
"Yes an ancient human race, but now it is simply a possible ascention of power for humans. One of three paths if I understand right. God's can be born the way the are, generally gods of life and death, destruction and creation. Other gods like myself being of law reach this stage through great deeds recognized by The Omni King, or even another god to train you to be such."
Sounds let that sit in before adding a bit.
"I killed a makaioshin who was dominating early humans. The Kai's saw it took me in and my training went all the way to the previous god of law. I took his place when he died."

Cale scoffed, crossing his arms with a smirk. "If killing makaoishin were all it took to be a god, I'd have had a job offer about three hundred years ago," he chided, half to himself, before looking towards Sojun figuring that statement might have been a little odd. "I'm actually from the 8th Age, I was just recruited into Age 1000 to help combat the Time Breakers. At this point my future is so mixed due to temporal energies that not even the Supreme Kai of Time can tell for sure what lies ahead for my best friend, my wife, or myself. Not that I particularly care to know."

Sojun would grin slowly at the prospective thought and after further explanation of his situation he would turn to dismantle his barrier with a bit of a jest... Or a statement.
"Maybe God of Time then? One day."
Sojun would finish tearing down his dimensional domain and turn back to Cale with a smile.
"I will not get involved to the point it interrupts your mission. However I will not sit idle."

Just the thought of it made him exhausted. "No thanks," he said, shaking his head. "Once I'm done with this war, I have every intent of stopping all this time travel. I want to raise my children without all of this. They deserve a better life than I can provide yet."
Still... the thought of being a God. What enemy would be able to stand against him? He would be able to single handedly protect not just the Earth, but all of the Earths. All of the times. His Saiyan blood surged beneath his skin, yearning for more power. The lust for battle. But almost three decades of self control had taught him when that was an appropriate feeling to let rage through his veins, so he swallowed it back. That level of power would be useful, but it would cause so much loss in his own life. Part of him was a bit sad that there weren't enough full blooded Saiyans in the Age 1000 to attempt Super Saiyan God... but that just meant he would have to rely on his own power, as he always had.
"Very well," Cale nodded lifting into the air slightly, the grass beneath him laying flat. "Try not to go around shouting about how strong I am, though. As it is, I'm going to have to proceed very carefully now."

Sojun would laugh.
"I will attempt to keep my yelling of your power to a minimum."
He would jest of course. He would give a bow of his head then begin to fly away.
