A red light blinked on and off in the dark room, illuminating a pale face with dark hair, appearing black as the dark room. Eye's finally opening to register the light, the male sat up and hit a button, lights filled the room with an artificial early morning sun. Hitting another button a hologram of a small person in odd military clothing would pop up.
"General... We've arrived, it's time to begin the operation."
"... Very well. I'll be on the bridge in five minutes."
Yawning he would grab glasses from his stand next to the bed, placing them on his eyes and brushing back his long dark blue hair. Grabbing his uniform and making sure it fit just right he would move up to the door and stretch. He was about to lead the largest Tuffle military operation in history, and it would be a point marked in history as the Tuffle's declaration of power in the universe. Leaving the room he would head to the bridge, saluting each person along the way. When the large doors opened to the circular operating center of the bridge he walked in with confidence, his large cape flapping behind him.
"SITREP."
Code for Situation Report.
"We have yet to be detected. We are on the bright side of the planet currently."
He moved to look out the viewing console at the planet below. It was within the solar system of new Planet Plant, and there were a few others within the solar system of the same livable type, and each had a perfect solar location for long range sensors to have no blind spots if each planet was captured appropriately. Two of the three planets required for this were occupied with barbaric ki using species. The Tuffle's already knew of such dangers and planned to try peaceful negotiations, but were attacked every time. This time the offensive action was to assault with over whelming force until surrender is declared by the enemy. The planets would be called Staging Area's and the survivors of the planet's home life would be sent to another planet once discovered. As far away as possible.
"Very well. Begin the operation."
And like that the viewing console filled with the lights of drop pods heading for the planets surface. There was such numbers the General didn't know if this would even last the night. Then an alarm.
"THEY ARE FIRING FROM THE SURFACE!"
"What?!"
Complete disbelief as rays and beams of ki energy broke the atmosphere into the ranks, explosions taking many more.
"I thought we were in the clear!" Barked the General.
"Sir, they must have some way of scanning or finding us."
"Alright, change of plans. Give me Rai Squadron."
"You are patched in sir."
"Rai Squadron, your orders are to immediately exit your drop pods in your suits and get to the surface as fast as possible. I want the ground offensive taken out by the time I get there. Find out how they are locating us and destroy it."
"Sir!" filled the response speaker with an unknown amount of voices.
"I'm going planet side. Prepare my drop pod."
With that he turned.
"Captain Marks, you are in command of the ship."
Making his way in a sprint to the pod bay he opened the hatch and stood in the pod as it strapped to him. Hitting the launch button he was jettisoned into space directly towards the planet. His cape wrapped his body and formed his Power Armor and he waited the five minutes it took to break the atmosphere. The ride was bumpy, and the vibrations seemed to be instilled in his flesh, even in the power armor. Explosions threw him off course harshly whipping him around inside the pod. However the shock absorbing straps did their job keeping injury to a minimum. Finally the pod slammed the surface and ejected the hatch.
He took his first steps out onto the surface of the planet and saw a few other Power Armored Tuffles in conflict already. So close, it was like an ambush set for the assault force. Activating his elbow blades he rushed to the aid of the four man squad in heated battle with the Local species. Grabbing one by the bladed head tail before it lunged into one of the four he would jerk it backwards towards himself while throwing an elbow forward through it's head. Ducking another attack from his right he would kick for the knee joint of the creatures leg using the impact to spin and stand into an uppercut. Once the creature was in the air he activating the helmet laser slicing it in half from bottom to top. The other's dispatched their fores, but not without injury.
"Unit?" The General demanded.
"Balsum Squad, sir!"
The General knew this squad, it was reported to be reckless, but efficient.
"Balsum Squad, you are to clear a fifty kilometer Landing Zone for the next wave."
"Sir!" They all respond with a salute. Leaving to find as many other squads of remnants as they could gather to begin the outward push to clear the area. The pods would be dropping on the majority of this side of the planet, and each significant area should be setting up some sort of offensive similar to this. He could only imagine it. However he pinged his communicator.
"Rai Squad, SITREP!"
It took a moment, before someone out of breath took up the line.
"Rai squad checking in... They have some sort of... Tower or something. It's old and seems to be telling them whats going on somehow."
"Ping me your exact location."
With that something popped up on the display inside his helmet. A map of their general location compared to his.
"On the way."
Along the way a stray ball of yellow energy would slam into his back causing him to be jolted and sent tumbling to the ground with a smoke trail. The impact was like being drop kicked by a boot the size of your back, and he really didn't appreciate it. Turning over quickly and regaining himself he spread his legs and held a stance like his arms were folded in the air in front of him, pointing an elbow blade to each of his sides. His scanner picking up the Ki signature that was powering up for another shot. extending his arms until his hands where open towards each other, finger tips touching at about his sternum height a small black and red swirling ball would appear.
"Gravity Bomb!"
It would fire at the Ki signature, ripping right through it and utterly pulling the creature apart. The General caught his breath for a second scanning for more before catching a clearing. It was a tower of some sort, and spread out at the entrance were three members of Rai Squad. Rushing to them he nodded quickly.
"Where is the rest of your squad?"
"Inside, likely dead, sir."
Shock would of riddled his face if they could see it. Luckily he wore the masked helmet.
"Why dead?"
"Sir our scanners are showing something in there with a Power Rating of about eleven hundred."
That was slightly better than the battle rating he had gotten his suit to.
"Alright, we will move in and clear the tower together. If the thing pops up, throw everything you have at it then retreat to minimum safe distance."
They nodded the affirmative and they moved inside. It was dark inside, but the Power Armor allowed them near perfect dark light vision. On the second floor they found the bodies of the three missing members of the squad. Practically ripped in two, and not even cut like previous conflict had shown them to do. There weren't any energy burns either, which meant this was a hand to hand issue.
"One thing did all this?"
The General looked back for a second then back to their front.
"Not unlike the stories we here about the mighty Oozaru."
They gulped audibly in the communicators, luckily no sound escapes the power armor unless they want it to. Pressing on they came to a large room with some sort of throne. The General gave a signal for the three Rai Squad members to disperse in hiding. He himself stepped forth towards the throne, pausing only when his sensor went off, to his left he saw it. The Battle Rating of exactly eleven hundred walking towards the throne.
"Why do you attack us?"
It spoke? This was the first actual communication received on more than a dozen attempts. He scowled and then let the next bit broadcast past the helmet.
"It is needed for the continued survival of my race. It will end when your race surrenders."
"They do not understand such things. That will never happen. You will have to eradicate us, like the Saiyans tried with you."
"How do you know that?"
"Come, enough talk, try to kill me."
It must be confident from it's previous kills, or it doesn't believe him powerful due to not being able to use ki. Either way this thing would learn not to mess with the Tuffles, like the Saiyans will. Propelling himself towards the thing he would swipe at it with his right bladed elbow, which was deflected by it's head tail, and a punch rang through his body from the creature knocking him back and the Rai Squad used that opening to launch an all out offensive with everything their suits could produce. The attack successfully stunned the creature long enough for the General to pull open the chest pieces to reveal some sort of large barrels that pulled in energy quickly, his systems began over heating, so he activated the systems over clocking feature he installed himself to compensate, the stats weren't adding up though. His personal Power Rating scanner read eighteen thousand three seventy five. The large blast of energy launched from his chest pushed him back from the force, ripping the floor to pieces, a few explosions in his suit went off, which sent him in the other direction.
Laying on the ground he opened his eyes to note he could only see out of his right, because there was a gaping hole in his helmet. The shoulder of his left arm had blown off as well. He was bleeding from spots were rubble and force had hit the exposed body parts. He looked around, and noted the steam coming off his body. The suit wouldn't move and had no power.
~Where?~
He looked around frantically only to hear the ripping of flesh and metal behind him. He couldn't turn his head far enough to look behind him since the suit had locked up. He had to wait it out, then another an explosion and finally more flesh and metal. Some thumps on the ground and splashes of liquid. Then steps towards him. Coming around in front of him stood the creature, only one arm, badly damaged chest and only one leg.
"Fool..."
It spat as it approached, the blade on the head tail jabbing forward and stopping just as the tip breached his forehead.
"Now you will be to blame for anything that happens to your race, as I was."
"Wha-"
General Lacrim was cut off by an over whelming sense of everything around him. Every life, every action, even thoughts, flooded his brain. He soon passed out from the stress.
Waking up in a haze he held his head quickly feeling flesh on flesh.
"General Lacrim, sir. Don't move so much."
"Where?"
"You are in the new Staging Area Alpha base. Our medical corpse got the building ships to land easily enough. You are in one of those facilities."
"What happened?"
"As far as we can tell, all of Rai Squadron was destroyed and you took some pretty good damage. Your Power Armor is hanging in the Engineering building waiting for you to repair it."
It would take many more weeks to fully recover and repair his armor. However now he could... Tell where every Tuffle in the solar system was, every dream, desire, fear, passion... He kept this to himself, but it was hard to deal with.
