"Well... The Makyo Star was destroyed when their Guardian was attacked. We aren't even sure Sage is still alive to be honest. Makyo-jins have spread to the four winds. So far we have identified that the Guardians of Terrac, Plant, and the Demon Realm are involved in the coup. The others are yet unidentified."
Vo adjusted his gloves, then leaned back pushing his headband up a bit.
"Though the amount of malicious intent coming off of them is... Unusual."

Cale nodded thoughtfully. "An increase in malicious intent could be a sign of Demigra's influence," he reasoned. "His magics both enhance their target's power and brings out more of the evil locked within them. This could very well just be greed, but at this point I can't rule it as simply that. Not yet."
"How many Guardians are there?" he asked, stopping his pacing. "And what all does being a Guardian do to an individual here?"

"Only the Supreme Kai knows how many there are, but there are possibly an unimaginable number of Guardians for all four quadrants of this universe. One for each planet that supports life. At least I would assume to be on the safe side."
He would lean forward resting his elbows on his knee's and his chin on his fists.
"You are in-tuned to the Ki of the planet and it's people. Given the ability to protect it's celestial body from catastrophe, telepathically communicate with anyone as well as view any event. The Lookouts themselves are great holders of power, producing a well that creates heroes and the ability to unlock the hidden potential in an individual... At least that's the speech I was given... I do not know everything there is about being a Guardian yet. My training was complete on the physical side, but as for the knowledge of near infinite lifetimes was not passed on to me."

Cale felt a small twinge of pity for the man. He himself had once longed to understand the Saiyans, searching to find anything that was left of his race, to put back together what little of the puzzle Rek had left him with growing up. It wasn't until he'd come to Earth and met Vegeta that Cale had started learning more about what it truly was to be a Saiyan, and had taught himself what it meant personally. He had chosen to burden himself with the responsibility first of his own timeline's Earth and then with all of the timelines of his home universe.
Vo hadn't been ready for what had been laid on his shoulders.
"I'm sure you'll figure it out in time," Cale assured the human. "At some point there was a first Guardian for Earth, and I doubt he knew much more than you did. Less, even."
He cleared his throat, trying to get back to business with Vo visibly becoming disturbed. "Well, the best place to start would be gathering information from any Guardians you're allied with. How can they be reached, and would they be willing or able to meet?"

"Right... Sacossa the Guardian of Namek. He is the closest and has been an ally for me and Earth for a long time. We can teleport, but I've only got one left in me for a few days."
Vo would shrug, he would leave it up to Cale, but Earth had rather fast ships due to the mix of technology between Namek and Earth.

Cale grinned at hearing that the Nameks were allied. "Good, that might make things much easier. Namekians may not all be fit for combat, but they all make loyal friends," he said, walking towards Vo. "But, I have a way to get us there that doesn't require you using a teleportation." His glove clapped down on the Guardian's shoulder.
"Try not to breathe," he warned Vo before putting his fingers up to his forehead. He let his mind wander through the cosmos, reaching out towards Namek, luckily in the same space it occupied in his own timeline. Locking on to a lifesign that seemed to be near the house Namek's Guardian resided in, Cale shifted the two of them between dimensions via Instant Transmission, the space around them melting into a multicolored, shifting landscape. Speed meant nothing here, the two of them being sucked through a tunnel between the folds of space.
The light around them faded, replaced by the purple and blue hues of Namek's multiple suns and alien colored landscape. Memories of his last visit to Namek flooded back to Cale, the death, the craters left in the ground, and as he felt the wind blow across them was reminded that the Namekians of his own time no longer had this world.
New Namek had been a casualty of Miira's campaign, as had Yardrat.
"... good to be back," he said solemnly.

Vo nodded and took a breath in to hold, he didn't have to hold it for long due to how quickly it was over. This was different from his teleportation, it was actually movement, but it happened so quickly. Then on Namek just like that. He would give an approving "huh." They were even just outside Sacossa's house.
"Brace yourself. We've had to hold the prisoners we've captured in this war inside until the Kai's decide their punishment."
Lang would lead the way inside.

Inside the namekian Guardian, Sacossa was meditating and training inside his own mind. The place was basic and the entrance was on the top floor. However to the side was a row of three people bound and unconcious. The energy binding's were ki based. However the most disturbing thing he would likely see was a Saiyan... That had an ice-jin tail, and lines along his cheek bones to his chin from his eye's. Very, very pale skin. He was wearing ice-jin armor.

Cale picked up on a few strange ki signals from within the house, but assumed that they were just guardians from other allied planets. Prisoners of war were nothing out of the ordinary, but when he walked in on the meditating Namekian and glanced aside Cale's stomach dropped. One of them had the clear signature of a Saiyan, but the terrifyingly familiar signature of an Icejin mixed in with it.
Realization crashed over him.
Saiyans were alive in this universe as well... as were Icejins. And the two had mixed.
"Explain this," Cale said softly, not bothering to introduce himself to the meditating Namekian. "What's going on here?"

Sacossa stopped meditating putting his feet down from his floating position. Looking over a Saiyan with Vo Lang? Maybe it was the help from the Supreme Kai of Time, either way it was obvious the mix breed was alarming to him. Sacossa decided to explain to hopefully break the ice...
"When the last Treaty between Planet Vegeta and Arkosia was broken and war broke out only to end after five years of conflict with a new treaty, inevitability lead to strange attractions and emotions leading to... A mix of the species. That particular person is the Guardian of the ice-jin home world and a male born from a Saiyan woman, and male Ice-jin."

Cale had visited hundreds, perhaps even over a thousand, other timelines. He had seen worlds where he himself was dead, had to rebuff the Sammi of that world when she pleaded for him to remain there, where the people he cared for were dead and he was the only one left. Worlds where the Patrol had lost entirely. Over several years, Cale had learned how to take the things he saw in stride. To distance and detach himself as much from what he found in new timelines as he was from his own while he was away.
But there was something fundamentally... wrong about this. A world where not only did the Saiyans and Icejins still exist, but had come together?
"And you say he's a Guardian?" Cale asked, clenching his fists. "Someone thought fit to give an Icejin power like that??"

Vo nodded and responded.
"As someone saw fit to give a Saiyan that kind of power."
Lang tried to remind Cale that saiyans were still vicious conquerors, wither he actually understood that or not.
"The many races reproduce together on occasion sadly they are met with a lot of prejudice and to hide from societies that would shun or even purge them they find seclusion. This one found seclusion with the kind hearted previous Guardian of Arkosia... However, it would seem this one turned on us... He also murdered my first pupil."

"Of course he did!" Cale snapped, looking towards Vo. "Icejins can't be trusted. Any alliance they make is just a ruse to gain more power." His blood boiled at the comment about the Saiyans. "Saiyans may be brutes without proper guidance, but let me remind you that you came to one for help. Their history isn't full of the best choices, but it's at least full of loyalty. Icejins would stab their mother on their way out of the womb if it meant starting their collection early."
Cale sucked in a breath, trying to calm himself. "An Icejin destroyed Vegeta in my time," he admitted. "He was killed by a great hero who even then tried to let him leave alive. The bastard only attacked him from behind. His brother wasted no time in acquisitioning what was left of that empire." He turned to face the two Guardians. "You have to understand. Icejins can't be turned or swayed. You can't convince them to change a path once they've decided everything on it belongs to them."

The two Guardians shared glances. A prejudice of great pain was within this one and they decided not to mention the Ice-jin on Namek trying to bring back the one she loves... A Saiyan. He also didn't want to mention the betrayal of the Saiyans to the Tuffles, or the constant annihilation of other races to expand control between Planet Vegeta and Arkosia. In their eye's the only difference between the races was origin.
"You can't condemn an entire species based on a single family. I have spent much time with both races in peace and have experienced nothing but respect. That's aside the point for now, what do we need to know?"

Cale wanted to argue. Try to explain to them that if this Icejin had been part of the respect Vo had experienced, he could look forwards to more of the same in the future. It took him a few seconds to remind himself that he was to be a neutral party in all of this if possible, to try and keep all sides from destroying each other.
No matter how much some may have deserved it.
"Apologies," he turned to the Namekian Guardian. "Sacossa, I assume. My name is Cale Reigo, I'm the Commander of the Time Patrol and... I'm not from around here. Vo has brought me to help you all with this war." Cale spoke to Vo now. "If the Time Breakers are involved with this, you need to know that the best way to fight them is to draw them out. Continuing to let them lurk in the shadows just allows them to exert more influence as time goes on. Time is their resource, after all. But forcing them to appear in full force allows you to identify which people have been taken over by them and try to either kill them, or save them."
Trunks.
Cale took a deep breath, shutting his eyes. "If you can find a way to save them, that is. We have come close once before, but in seven years of fighting we've yet to break someone of Demigra's control."
