It was time for try number two in project Check on Limax. Atlanti had already been training and had been recovering from her own fight afterward. Now, the next day, she had a chance to do so before the finals took place. Hopefully she would be able to do so in peace this time, for his sake.
So she heads to his infirmary room, knocking lightly on the doorframe and waiting a moment to let him answer if he was awake to do so before entering.

"Enter."
His voice was strong and firm. Far different than it had been yesterday when they had all piled into his room. It sounded very much like Limax was back to normal. Or at least had his strength back.
When Atlanti opened the door she'd find Limax out of bed, his hospital clothes folded neatly on the bed as he finished fastening on his weighted training clothing. Though he didn't seem to show a lot of strain wearing them, even after having been in critical condition no more than a day ago.

Antlanti enters the room in response, stopping just inside the doorway as she caught sight of him up and about. She'd thought he sounded better than last time - of course he did, considering just about anything would have. But what she saw and heard now was a far cry from the man who'd nearly been writhing in pain the day before, with pain medication to keep him at a point where he could rest.
"Good morning," she chimed in greeting with a smile as she looked him over. He seemed okay, and they wouldn't just let him go about if he wasn't. Unless the medical staff didn't know. But looking at him now was like yesterday had been a completely different person.
"How are you feeling?"

"Better."
He said as he finished tightening everything. Moving his limbs slowly to make sure everything was secure and in place. Nodding in satisfaction that nothing would randomly fall off he would turn back to Atlanti, placing his hands together and bowing to her.
"Thank you for your concern."

"Glad to hear it." She watched as he tested his limbs, watching to see if anything would go wrong. She didn't see any sort of pain or displeasure on his face. Maybe she was making something out of nothing.
"You were in pretty bad shape yesterday. I'm glad you're feeling better." There was a distinct note of surprise in her voice. She wasn't used to seeing that sort of power in action. Not at that rate, anyway.

"I would expect you to not be surprised."
She was Namekian as well. They naturally had powerful healing abilities. Able to even regrow limbs fully formed in moments. He'd had a day of bed rest to recover, while overseen by medical professionals with all of the technology from the attending races. Surely it wasn't that surprising to a fellow Namekian that he was already up.
"I am nothing if not resilient."
Probably the trait he exhibited the most. He was used to sticking it out through harsh environments and injuries. While this had been the worst injury of his life by far, he suspected it would not be the last. Or the worst in the many centuries that he still had coming.

"I suppose that's true." Not that she would know that herself, but Limax did have a stalwart air about him. He seemed like a stone wall, in a way. He was distant and able to endure quite a bit, to say the least.
"I've just never seen someone..." she paused for a moment ot think of the words, "like us in critical condition like that." Regeneration, she knew. She'd done it herself a time or two, but she'd also been more conscious and, generally speaking, not on the verge of dying.
There was a pause before she asked, "So what will you do now?"

"Train."
He said, taking a step to the door before stopping. The thought that he was being rude occurring to him, being so curt to her when she had shown the grace to visit him despite having no obligation to do so. He did not wish to give her the impression that he was trying to rebuff her.
"I am out of the tournament, but I am still aspiring to be not only a Warrior for my people. But perhaps one day, should the Elder bless me, our Guardian. For that reason it is my duty to do everything in my power to become stronger. I have been granted a chance to see how strong some of the warriors beyond my home is. Now I must surpass them."
For Namek.

She'd come to expect him to be a person of few words, but the single statement of training did come across as him trying to get rid of her. It felt like an explanation as well as a reason for her to move on, though Limax had done nothing but advise her in her own training with him. She didn't fool herself into thinking it had benefited him any.
The longer explanation seemed to lift her spirits, or at least her enthusiasm. It was the first time he'd really given her insight into his own thoughts, and she found herself nodding along at some of the familiar words. Back home, there was someone else who had told her of the duty to their duty to the people of Namek as a whole, or at least had at the time.
"And when you surpass them?"

"Then I will surpass those I've not met."
The invasion weeks prior had shown him not only the power of aliens, for the first time in his life. But also the hostility that they may hold for his home. Add in the strange magic of one alien, and the promise of conquest by Lord Hail. It seemed it would never be enough.
"There are those that would do us harm, idleness will only result in lost lives."

The differences between them showed that in volumes, and not just by their power levels. But it had been a choice made before she was born, and one she had recently made for herself, sort of.
"Do you mind if I join you for a little? I won't interfere." Hopefully.

"You are more than welcome to join."
Like before he saw no point in stopping her progress. It would do little to improve his own. But more than that, he wanted to be a protector of Namek. The Guardian, Elder willing, one day. He couldn't do that with raw strength. He needed to cultivate patience and understanding. He needed to help other Namekian's reach their potential. Because life on Namek wasn't supposed to be about the individual. It was about the whole, lifting each other up. They all thrived together.

Her smile returned full force at his agreement, the smaller Namekian stepping aside so that they could leave the infirmary room behind without another glance. Cultivating patience, however, may come in many forms, as Limax would soon discover. She walked beside him, hands folded behind her back as long as they awalked the infirmary and halls leading directly to it.
"So where are you from?" Was he from the city? Somewhere else? A thousand questions threatened to bubble up and spill over now that she actually had him talking for that one moment. Maybe it was just wishful thinking.

"A small village to the North."
Was his simple reply to her question as they left the infirmary. If any of the staff had objections, he didn't notice. He knew his own body and he was well enough for this. Besides, if he was to be training with Atlanti it would be fairly light in comparison to what he would do if he was really pushing himself.

Atlanti cast a quick glance at hte nearest doctor they passed, but when there was no objection to their leaving, she left it at that. She was used to the rules of Earth; it looked like some of them applied here, as well.
"Really?" Probably not so much if he was a Warrior. More people meant more opportunity. "What did you think of the city when you first came here?"
