Goddamn it!
Only moments ago Wasabi was large and in charge, and now he was the one being toyed with. It was rare for Wasabi to get upset, usually he just rolled with the punches. But he was so hungry for answers, he could feel his desire tearing him apart. He clenched his fists for a moment, his claws digging into the palms of his hands, making them bleed. He breathed slowly, calming himself.
"Ya know, I liked you a whole lot better when you were just shouting at me."
Wasabi would rush forward, for a final time, determined to finish this fight. He'd aim for Limax's midsection, spearing his left elbow into the Namekians gut, intending to make him double over. Assuming the attack worked, Wasabi would follow up with another elbow to the Namekians back, to knock him back onto the ground. Pazuzu's Blessing: 20% Speed Buff (1809)

The longer they stood there talking, the more time Limax had to recover some of his strength and compose himself. Meaning this could still end peacefully or he'd have a chance to try and fend him off when he made his next headlong charge. Though it seemed that the second option was the more likely one seeing as how annoyed the other was quickly growing.
He had to admit he got some satisfaction out of that, in a situation like this he had to take the victories that he could manage to grasp. And once more the other fighter lunged at him, sticking with his tried and true tactic. There was no chance to dodge the blow, Limax's legs were still too wobbly to do much moving. And blocking hadn't done much for him so far. All he could do was attack and hope that the fighter didn't change up his attacks now.
As the fighter rushed him Limax extended his right arm toward him, his fingers hooked into a claw as he channeled everything that he had into it. It seemed that the other fighter was going to get his wish after all. The tables had turned again and once more Limax was the one that was at a huge disadvantage.
"Retribution!!!"
He shouted as Ki filled his palm, firing outward toward the charging attacker. He had no defense, he could make no attempt to dodge. His only chance at stopping this was to stop him with this attack, afterward he'd have nothing else to give.

The attack didn't come as a surprise. In fact Wasabi had expected it, although not at that moment. Planting his feet, Wasabi put his guard up, taking the brunt of the assault with his forearms. The force of the blast pushed him back slightly. But Wasabi was beyond caring now. He took a step, and another step as the beam of energy continued to push at him. It hurt, but he'd live. He'd continue until the last of Limax's assault faded away, the Namekian's energy finally spent.
Wasabi would walk up to Limax, his fists clenched, the veins in his arms bulging, as his aura flared wildly. He would walk until he was inches from the Namekian before cocking his arm back and -- flicking the Namekian lightly on the forehead. "You win." The energy and tension completely draining out of Wasabi, he'd collapse on the floor, staring at the Namek sky. He'd won the fight, but lost the war. He wasn't gonna get the answers he wanted. Not the way he'd went about it. He'd beaten up and threatened an innocent native (despite the fact he'd almost blown him up earlier), all on the possibility he'd might have answers.
"You. What's your name? If you don't mind me asking."

He poured everything that he had into the attack, and step by step the other continued his advance. It only caused him to push further in a desperate attempt to end it now. Unfortunately, he only had so much to give, and in this case it just wasn't enough. The energy faded away and his legs gave way as he dropped to his knees.
The flick to the forehead was... well he didn't really know what it was. Mocking? Taunting? Playful? He really didn't get this person. Even going so far as to declare him the winner. Clearly that just wasn't true. It felt like no victory that he'd ever experienced. There was no satisfaction to be had here. Falling backward onto his own back he'd look up at the sky, thankful for the moment that the aggression seemed to have ended. He didn't know how much he could move right now, even if he tried.
"Limax."
A simple answer for a simple question.

"Limax."
Wasabi said the name like it was the most interesting thing in the world. "Wasabi." He said the name quietly. But he knew the Namekian would hear him. "My name I mean, not that you asked, just seemed like the appropriate response. " They were both on their backs exhausted in one way or another. Limax, physically; Wasabi, emotionally.
"Did you know, you're the strongest person I've fought? No one on Earth is even near your level."
He'd sit silently, letting his words hang in the air as he stewed on them. "Have you . . . ever . . . seen somebody that looks like me?" Wasabi struggled, the words were in his head, dancing on the tip of his tongue, but each one was a struggle to get out. Despite that, he'd somehow he'd managed to ask the question, and as he did, the words just kept coming. "I was born -- well, I was found on Earth. I came to Namek, searching for people like me." He flexed his jaw, he'd never told anyone this much about himself, let alone a stranger. But he wanted to put all of the cards on the table.

If he had more strength he'd have sat up to look at Wasabi as he went on. Introducing himself. Talking about how strong he was compared to the people on Earth. He didn't know why he was saying that, or if it was true. Maybe he knew somehow it was something that Limax wanted to hear. Maybe it was a lie, after all Earth and Namek had an alliance. There were plenty of strong Humans, or at least he'd heard that.
But maybe, just maybe he was being honest. And speaking from his experiences. And to hear that coming from someone that had beat him so easily, to hear someone that much stronger than him speak of Limax's strength. Well, he had no words for it. Even less words when Wasabi continued on, asking if he'd ever seen anyone like him. Explaining his plight, his search.
"I haven't." He said after several long moments of silence. He'd never met anyone other than a Namekian, he was from a small village. Until recently a simple farmer, nothing more.
"You are alone among your kind?"
That's what it sounded like. It sounded like a sad existence. A lonely one.

"Ah, well . . . that sucks."
Wasabi let out a long breath, he hadn't known he'd been holding in. He chuckled at Limax's question, 'alone' didn't even begin to describe it. Ever since he was old enough to blink, he was a 'monster'. Hell, he couldn't even play tag with the other kids without accidentally breaking someones arm.
"I -- I can't even call them my kind. I'm so . . . different. My skin, my features, my strength. It's like I'm from somewhere else . . . I have to be. It's the only answer that makes sense. So why --"
Wasabi cut himself off. He'd almost said, 'they'. His parents. In his mind, they'd abandoned him, and flew off somewhere. But the thing is, he didn't know if he even had parents. All he had to go off of was how human reproduction worked. "So what's it like. For you I mean, I know very little about Namekians aside from the fact that their are no girls here, bummer. "

He didn't mean to imply that Humans were his kind, but he didn't correct Wasabi. He was too exhausted to even try. The question that he was asked in return felt awkward, incomplete. What was what like specifically? Life on Namek? What did the lack of what he called females have to do with that question? And why was it a bummer?
"It's peaceful. We work as a community for the betterment of the whole of Namekian society."

Wasabi imagined it, a community of similar individuals working towards bettering each other, rather than themselves. It was a level selflessness Wasabi would probably never be able to emulate. Life on Earth had made him solely reliant on himself and his own abilities. He was too used to putting himself first to turn back now.
"Huh, sounds interesting." Was all he could offer to the literally alien concept.
He stopped to think for a moment before continuing. "And what about your uh caste system? From your capabilities I'm guessing you're a warrior; do you choose your own jobs or are they picked by your, hmm -- what's the word . . . Elder?"

"Typically one is born into their role. And from that order is maintained."
He was fairly careful not to mention his own Caste, not feeling particularly comfortable admitting his own lowborn status, or claiming the status that he aspired to reach. It didn't matter how the alien would view it, or what he would think. The social stigma ingrained in his own mind was enough to keep his silence.

Wasabi's ear's visibly perked at Limax's every answer. Namekian society was interesting in a way he couldn't quite describe. Although he may not have agreed with their ideals, he still couldn't help but find it all fascinating. There were actual whole worlds out there. Earth was just the tip of the iceberg, Namek was just a pit stop to the great expanse they called the universe. What else was out there? Wasabi considered asking Limax about other races, but figured he'd know very little about it.
The Namekian's answers were short and concise, offering very little but the bare fact; but it bothered him little. If anything it only fueled his questioning more. He chose to wait a couple breaths after Limax was done speaking before pointing out something he had said.
Wasabi having dealt with Humans; a fickle race at best, he'd become somewhat good at picking up on specific wording.
"You said typically, one is born into their caste. What about the Namekian's that aren't 'typical'?"

He didn't respond right away as he considered how best to word it. This wasn't a wholly unique situation that he found himself in. Though it did go against the grain. And throughout their history there have been several ways that people have changed their Caste. Though situations like the current one were by far the most common. The Elder simply decrees that they need more of something, and society shifts to assist the whole.
"They fulfill a need and thus change their position in society."

"Huh, even your castes change if it's required."
Wasabi didn't have much to say about that fact. A question was burning in his throat, but he kinda feared it may offend the Namekian. After a minute of working up the courage to ask the question, he just let it out.
"What about . . . What about the individual's needs? How can you worry about the whole if the individual is potentially suffering."
There. He'd gone and said it. Wasabi wasn't sure if it was heretical to question Namekian beliefs, but he'd wanted to know. After a small pause he continued.
"I have my own goals that I follow. Don't you have any dreams or ambitions you want to accomplish?"

He managed to sit up after the last question. Though it still took great effort to do so. It turned out that Wasabi was quite the curious one. It seemed like he had questions for all of the simplest things, and one couldn't help but wonder just what kind of society he grew up living in. How he viewed his own desires over those of everyone elses.
"If one of us is suffering we try to alleviate that. Each individual is part of the whole, thus everyone cares for and looks after everyone to the best of our ability. Is it not like that where you come from?"
How terrifying.
"Of course I have my own desires. But it would be selfish to put my desires over the needs of everyone else. Would it not?"

Wasabi, getting into the swing of the conversation, sat up as well.
"Maybe. But, hypothetically let's just assume for a moment that maybe your goal is to get stronger, and to fight against different people across the universe. Although the goal might be viewed as selfish, and could require you to leave Namek behind for a time. But when you'd come back, you'd be more powerful, more experienced, and more capable of defending your people from threats. "
Wasabi paused a moment, letting his words hang in the air, as well as allowing Limax a chance to voice his thoughts. He didn't mind discussing their different philosophies, in fact he enjoyed it immensely. But because they were from such different places, he could already guess they'd disagree nine times out of ten.
